So I spent about 20 minutes in a private match just to confirm my suspicions, but yeah the differences are pretty stupid.
Nova warp fully charged blast against a non super: 440 damage.
Fist of havoc without jumping: 325.
Number of full aoe attack possible.
FoH: 4 slams maximum.
Nova warp: 7.
Minimum damage possible at the edge of the aoe.
FoH: 1 damage.
Nova warp full charge blast: 227.
Minimum possible damage against supers with aoe against 60% damage resistance supers:
FoH: 1 damage.
Nova warp: 114
Number of light attacks possible:
FoH: 6
Nova warp: 12.
Evasive count:
FoH: 6 (shoulder charge)
Nova warp: 13
Maximum possible damage against a 60% damage resistance super:
Nova warp: 176.
FoH: 143+44x2 (terminal velocity only)
Super duration:
Nova warp: 24.5 seconds.
FoH: 17.5-18 seconds.
Aftershock damage:
120 damage per shock.
Charged melee damage:
Nova warp: 165
Shoulder charge: 110+90
Based on the conclusion, fist of havoc has more potential single attack raw power, but nova warp can put out similar damage over extended periods as well as more consistently.
Based on this, it's clear that nova warp is a far superior super, but that wasn't the purpose to my test.
If all aoe based supers performed like nova warp, where the outer edges of the blast can still kill, consistency among all supers with an aoe attack will sky rocket.
Fist of havoc, nova bomb, arcstrider slam, Phoenix dive on dawnblade, as well as sentinel, sunbreaker, burning maul, and landfall.
Consistency is the super greatest problem.
With lag in place, most supers struggle to deal with targets due to INSANE damage fall off, which is why nova warp is so powerful.
Every super deserves that kind of consistency.
