I recently bought a Ghost from Target and it contained a code I can redeem for an in-game item. I put the code into the bungie.net/redeem but have not received the item. I contacted Xbox about it and all they said was it needs to be a 25-character code and the code should have given me this longer code.
I can't seem to find anyone else with this problem. Does anyone know what's going on or know how to fix it?

If it was for an in-game emblem, then you’ll need to wait for collection to be reenabled in order to claim it.
