Halo 4 legendary - which weapons to use

So a while ago I made a post about CE and then h3, so now here’s h4. [b]The Garbage Bin[/b] [spoiler][b]Storm Rifle[/b] This thing sucks. Like, really bad. Never use it. [b]Suppressor[/b] This thing sucks slightly smaller donkey dikks, but you should still never use it. [b]Assault Rifle[/b] Not a bad gun, you could use it in most f the campaign because of its good damage, but in every situation there’s always a better weapon to use. [b]Plasma Pistol[/b] This thing does not come anywhere near its former glory. Tracking and range on overcharge is awful, takes a long time to charge and you only get like 4 per gun. And the non-charged shot just isn’t an option-you may as well fire lilypads at them. Thing is, you’d still have to use it if a certain weapon which we’ll see later wasn’t as good as it is... [b]Sniper/Beam Rifle[/b] Fairly rare, hard to use and actually slower time to kill many enemies than the same weapon which outclassed the plasma pistol. In a vacuum, not too bad, but there’s only a few situations where they’re useful. [b]Shotgun[/b] Poor thing just doesn’t do enough damage. Fun to use with the thruster pack on composer, but it’s really risky and can’t kill elites as fast as you want it to. Knights instakill on melee too. [b]Energy Sword[/b] It’s too risky to get in melee range of a Knight, and this thing’s lunge is TINY, nowhere near halo 2. Also runs out of charge really fast because in this game, charge is used on a successful hit on ANYTHING (this includes when it misses) and there is no weapon it really comboes with in this game. Plus, there are no flood. [b]Splaser[/b] You only get this on composer when you have a mantis anyway. Only does 4 shots too. [b]Concussion Rifle[/b] Only useful for that one super complex jump on composer if you want to speedrun. Otherwise worthless. [b]Scattershot[/b] No massive reason to use it over the boltshot, this just fires faster. [/spoiler] [b]The Good Stuff[/b] [spoiler][b]Battle Rifle[/b] Ol’ Reliable. Ammo is a little inefficient, but you know the drill when you have this gun. Only an average weapon in this game, but headshots make a gun good, especially in the case of... [b]Boltshot[/b] This weapon gets headshots! Why? We don’t know! It’s got the shotgun function too (which stuns knights and is thus really useful) and ammo is really common. It’s a little hard to aim at mid range, though. [b]DMR[/b] I don’t think I have to put anything here. Okay, fine. Headshots. Are we done? We are. No? How about good body shot damage? Yeah this has that too, but what it doesn’t have is ammo. Pretty rare. [b]Lightrifle[/b] H E A D S H O T S. Also, ammo is really common and it can take down a knight’s shield fairly easy. [b]Pistol[/b] you go pew pew to the head stinky enemy goes dead dead [b]Covenant Carbine[/b] Jokes aside, my favourite weapon in the game. Deep ammo, big magazine, good damage, easy headshots, sounds and feels satisfying. You could go through most of the game with only this weapon and be just fine. [b]Needler[/b] Overall the single best weapon in the game. No contest. In previous games, the Needler wasn’t great because of rare ammo, slow projectiles with bad tracking, slow rate of fire, but you could still use it to take down an elite in a dire time. Not in halo 4. Here, its projectiles track EXTREMELY fast, you can let six loose in about a half second, and it’s really hard to miss. It is INSANE to be able to stun or even outright kill a knight that easily, even doing it better than many of the power weapons in the game. Since jackals now carry it, ammo is quite common too, but it’s not got a big reserve. Comboes incredibly well with the carbine, as the only enemy this can’t kill is the jackal, who conveniently dies to the carbine. [b]Railgun[/b] Kills knights and elites easily, but you only get it on infinity and shutdown (which you should just speedrun anyway). Has a travel time, make sure to lead a little bit. [b]Fuel Rod Cannon[/b] Deep ammo, easy spam. Not all that great compared to the needler though. [b]Rocket Launcher[/b] Does a lotta damage. Rare ammo, however. [b]Sticky Detonator[/b] Hard to aim and you only get it on composer, but kills elites ez. Good for the hunters too. [b]Incineration Cannon[/b] Does as the name says. Wholesale destruction, but you only get it on shutdown and midnight. I can’t overstate, however, the sheer amount of damage this does to knights. Be careful about self damage though, the cluster bombs have more radius than you’d think. [b]Binary Rifle[/b] Disintegrates elites and knights alike. Easy to use, headshots are present but completely unnecessary due to the sheer body shot damage this does. [/spoiler] There are a lot of weapons in this game, tell me if I’ve forgotten any.
