Yes, the only strike where players couldn't just sit in their hidey-holes and damage the boss to death while ignoring adds is gone..... JOY
I enjoyed that strike. It forced me out of the brain-dead auto-pilot mode I usually run when I play anything other than PVP or raids. I had to stop running around and punching everything, In that boss fight, I had to shoot adds........and like avoid the boss popping up behind me......such difficulty...no wonder why you all bitched about it and got it removed/nerfed(eventually).
I guess it makes sense though. Since the first year of destiny everyone has been looking for the easy way to cheese strikes/raids/anything.
Then I get to see people complain about a lack of "substance".

Really? This is the strike that takes you out of the brain dead gameplay?
-
I see so many people sitting pack with a scout and sniper just sitting there, while I’m over here dying thinking my fellow guardians aren’t going to abandon me... so much fun to see then run around like their heads have been chopped off.
-
Idk....I didn't mind the no hiding options, my biggest problem was how long he would dissapear for and how frequently he would do it. Sometimes you could only get a couple hits on him before he would dissapear for 45 secs.
-
My only gripe was when blackout was one of the modifiers. I played with randoms too so while they were off trying to Rambo the boss I'm stuck shooting at ads until I got hit in the back by a vandal with a spear. So as soon as I went down everyone else followed because they weren't helping shooting ads.
-
I’d be totally okay with this strike if there wasn’t a blackout modifier.
-
If people would just focus on adds and take their time with the boss fight, the boss fights would be alot easier. But wailing on the boss causes more enemies to spawn and then causes the players to be overwhelmed and restart. And instead of taking it the slow, they just leave out of frustration. The Exodus Crash strike is NOT THAT HARD. If you have the right stuff equipped and utilize the boss' ability to disappear and kill adds at that point, then it's easy as pie.
-
You must be great to play with. Seriously, I can’t find a single person in strikes who kills adds. It’s bloody annoying.
-
For real. It's a simple solution. People don't like to think apparently.
Yes, the only strike where players couldn't just sit in their hidey-holes and damage the boss to death while ignoring adds is gone..... JOY
But there is a hidey hole? You could just go to the left from entrance and stand on top of tank behind the crate. No one could melee you and it was easy to duck into cover. By the 3rd stage (when boss is only melee) it is cheese. It is pretty much cheese if all the players realize it, I was laughing when we had melee modifiers and the 2 other imbeciles just kept dying and wondering why I wouldn't come rez them. The strike was annoying, but was probably one of the easier ones honestly, laughable that the community cried to have it removed.
-
So you cheesed it?
-
So you cheesed it?
Yep. I cheesed a bs strike with blackout modifiers... Please crucify me. Heaven forbid that a super casual D2 player cheese something. lol
-
Hey woah, making a point re the comment you commented on. Didn't mean to bite at you, rather the heroes saying how easy it all is. Bungie brings in BS modifiers like that, people will find a way to cheese. Which they then patch and the forums are triggered again.
-
I found out about the cheese the hard way. I was one of those people that died but I followed the people to that spot. Unfortunately you still can get killed by ads that shoot at you though. I've had randoms that did the cheese but still thought that the ads wouldn't try and surround the crate which they did. The ones that went on the sides could still shoot you whether you're taking cover or not. On a couple of occasions I've seen the boss get real close on the side as well where he could still melee you. With blackout on it's an instant death.
-
Yea, still have to be 1/2 decent. It isn't complete cheddar. You need at least 1 thumb and a forefinger, preferably on the same hand. :)
-
As if the other strikes contain sufficient areas to take cover, or in this case, hide in...
-
That strike is 500 Times more fun than any Mercury one.

Both Strikes throw the players into the centre of a bowl with no cover surrounded by enemies firing at you.

Sounds like a good time to me. Wish I still had my ps4.

We have a true warrior here...
-
I think sarcasm isn't something the destiny community can easily understand.
-
No...no we don’t.
-
We have a true warrior here...
Where? Don't just say you have a warrior somewhere and then not say where!! That's just mean man.
-
"Hey look! It's the Invisible Man!"
-
The fact that you have to "slowly walk holding hands with him" is baffling as a Boss Fight, there are no phases and you aren't in control of anything, you can't harm him with supers for dps which makes the fight simply boring with no mechanics to do.
-
I've never had any difficulty with the boss, I'm just thoroughly irritated with getting in 2-3 shots and having him health gate, then clearing the adds and emoting for 3 minutes before he pops back up.
