Dr. Halsey's Journal. The "OFFICIAL" discussion thread.
Searched, couldn't find anywhere. So lets talk.
From the journal we can come to the conclusion that Miranda Keyes is the daughter of Dr. Halsey and Cpt. Keyes.
We also find lots of information on the Spartan project and the Mjolnir project.
I do have a few questions of my own.
What is the blue dna test that came in the diary, obviously it belongs to the Chief, but what can we learn from it? Other than the fact that the Chief has blood type "O positive"
What could have been on the torn out pages?

well, what makes sense to me about the picture New Threat?, is that it could have been either: 1. a scout party for the invasion the following year. or 2. yes, it was in fact the first super cruiser. but, for some reason the second one doesnt sound quite right. the first time i laid eyes on the pic i thought it was setting up for a continuation of Halo, like wtf happens to Chief? what was that planet? etc etc etc. but wasnt there more battles before Reach? it said that Reach was the fortress planet standing between the Covenant from Earth. and finally for tonight, the covenant's super sruiser CANNOT glass a planet alone, it says in the data pad from the invisible elite in the beginning lvl of legendary.

I find it weird that she knew of Sorvad's death BEFORE Noble team told her about it because she seemed like she didn't know.. and what, the covenant didn't frisk the corpses? they were there for a good few days apparently..

On on of those postcards in the folder in the back of the book that shows a picture in outer space, the arrow that its pointing to looks like the shape of High Charity. [Edited on 10.12.2010 8:47 AM PDT]

Also, I've seen some zoomed in pictures of the NGC2244 postcard that say its the High Charity convenient ship, and we all know what follows High Charity. I'll give you a hint, it starts with an F and ends with a space zombie horde... I hate though's guys.

Something that helped my get a hold of what all that stuff was putting the dates of each letter and card to the closest date in the book. I noticed that when Hardy and her team started enhancing the Spartan II candidates, the next few pages talked about the candidates that didn't take to the upgrades, and how a few where frozen to then later be studied and hopefully revived. I also noticed that after that point,as far as I remember, we don't read anymore about John 117. It might be that he was one of the one's that didn't work out and was frozen, hopefully that helps clear up SOMETHING about that stupid blue card. One of my biggest questions was the little drawing Hardy made on 7.12.2531 with the words "I see you" written under it, I remembered reading the same thing when you look into the three hidden sentinels in Halo 3, anybody got an idea as to how that fits into all this?

I must agree with you. The date says it all, the picture was taken on 01-18-2524 one year before reach was invaded by the covenant on a larger scale. My hypothesis is it is the covenant fleet, or the ARK.

The Picture is dated 2524.18.01, which doesn't help much, because yes the UNSC HAS seen the covenant before, but it was briefly and they were quickly eliminated (if I remember correctly, I am MOST LIKELY wrong so please correct me if i am wrong), And on the back it says it looks like its guided, this leads me to assume that it is the covenant, on there way to Reach... what I am more confused about is the

But I believe it showed that same prototype suit that was used by that marine in Halo Legends.
