  • Is it possible to have a CTF flag spawn point somewhere other than the capture point? i.e. Red's flag is on their capture point for the Blue flag. Can Red's flag be set to spawn at a flag holder somewhere else, while having the capture plate at Red's base like normal?

As I was using Bungie's "Invasion + Forge" Guide, [url]http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=28649[/url], the part that advises you to change the attacking team to the correct species is found under the subheading "Invasion Game Variant Setup". This means that you need to change the "attacking species" setting under a new Custom Invasion Gametype, not under the Invasion Forging options. In other words, make your map using the [u] Invasion Game Variant in Forge mode [/u], then go to [u] Custom Games mode [/u] & adjust the "attacking species" setting in the Invasion gametype to create a *new* [u] custom Invasion Gametype [/u] for your Invasion map. One paired with the other to bring it together for your own custom greatness!

  • I think the spawning. specially on infection, is really stupid and complicated and even an experienced forger like myself has found it very difficult to create a map with a working game type. sort it out bungie

  • i have 1 player on each of four teams and i still get 4 or 3 rounds max! whats wrong? and btw u still haven't told me how to spawn a player (say red) at point a, then on round 2 he spawns at point b. i set spawn orders, but he initial spawns randomly.

Like put to red team capture points on top of eachother in one spot?

[/quote] Actually, it's the spawn for Infection, it looks like. Anyways, you have to have the gamemode in Forge set to the desired one, and only then will the Advanced menu actually work on objects. There will be a thing called "Label", which you change to inf_spawn, or whichever you would like. The descriptions of each label is in the OP. I believe inf_spawn works on Objectives>Hill Marker, or whatever it's called; sorry, I'm forgetful.

  • so i put 6 initial spawn points for each of the opposing team, i put blue for zombies and red for humans, if i wanna put respawn points in the appropriate places, do you have to change the color of them or you have to do something else? cuz im having trouble here

  • I need help setting up spawn points. I have created a map for Slayer, Team Slayer, and CTF games. I have two bases that have spawn zones specific for CTF, and within the zone I have respawn zones specific for CTF according to blue or red (which ever base you are in). Then I have several neutral respawn points, with no lable. What I am trying to do is make it so that in CTF gametypes a team will only spawn in the respawn zone. However when I tested team slayer each team was forced to spawn in the zone. I do not want to limit teams to spawn in a specific zone for Team Slayer games, I want them to spawn throughout the map. All in all, how do I make it so that in CTF games a team will spawn in a specific zone, but then in all of the other gametypes (including team slayer) any given player is not restricted to spawn in a specific zone. Let me know =) Edit: I figured it out. I had to change the CTF respawn zone to gametype specific so that it would not affect Team Slayer matches. This appears to have done the trick.
