Would you rather... D1 get more content.. OR... D2 w its improvments?
Hypothetical question...
Would you rather have more content added to D1 instead of having D2 and D2 improvements?
This is what I would consider D2 improvements...
- 4K support
- Class Abilities
- Ledge grab
- Fast travel - on a map and onto a different destination
- individual shaders (although I am not a big fan)
- Seasons
- Updated Public events (map location/Heroic versions)
- Lost sectors
- Adventures
- Clan support
- ...
I would not consider following an improvement
- 4v4
- Raid Lair
- Cosmetic Chase
- 2 primary weapon system
- Prestige raid gear
- Token economy
- Faction Rally
- ...

What’s the point of this? Destiny 1 is finished. Bungie isn’t going to abandon their game and go back to the first one… and thanks to that stupid spaghetti code it would be a nightmare to update. They’d be better off completely remaking D1, which isn’t going to happen. A fresh start was needed, and D2 fixed so many infrastructure problems for the franchise. They’ve learned from their mistakes in that regard… the problem is that they are making brand new mistakes with D2. [i]It’s still fixable, though.[/i]
