About a month ago I was having issues with the game. Every time I would try to play it, it would tell me that the owner of the game needed to sign in to be able to play it. I was at the time logged into the xbox live account that the game was digitally downloaded to, from a Gamestop receipt. I have gone into "my games" and have tried to find it in my "ready to install" games, but it isn't there either. I have also tried to re-download it with entering the code provided on the receipt, but it states that the code has already been redeemed, which is obvious since I've been playing D2 since the game was released. I need help with trying to get this fixed, so if there is anyone out there that can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
I refuse to purchase a game for the second time that I have already paid full price for.
Oh, and my Xbox Live is current and active.

If you are on the correct account you redeemed your code on and the game doesn't appear in your Game Library in My Games and Apps you will need to contact Xbox Support. https://support.xbox.com/ Xbox Support will be able to tell you if your account is affected by the Xbox Service Alert for some Xbox accounts are having issues with previously purchased items. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status
