  • I mean how does a huge company who is bank rolled by a bigger company, -blam!- up this bad? It's sad.

  • I agree to, but differently. If you wanted the mmorpgfps that they were suppose to deliver then go play it, it's called Destiny. It would have been insulting for them to give us the same game at full price and call it new. If you want something new and different then wait for a moment and allow D2 to grow. It'll only grow healthy if we all give it some love, but if you can't do that then at least be constructive.

Waaaaaiiiiiit a minute.... We are supposed to allow a game to grow, before we can enjoy it? Why not a developer MAKE the game BEFORE releasing it? How much would that cost? Because I'd pay $60 for that. Not $60, wait..., another $20, wait months... another DLC, plus another several months..., then a year, and perhaps another $40, wait some more... Did I describe D1 closely enough as it aligns with your model of improvement of D2? Please point out my discrepancy (or discrepancies). I do wish that Bungie had more than 3 years of feedback and stats they could use to help them make a better game. I have no idea where they could get that kind of information from, or who is smart enough to apply it...

  • That worked a time ago, but not now that communities have too heavy of a voice. It used to be, people bought a game, it sucked, reviews panned it, and it died the end. Gamers today are able to voice their opinions in droves literally seconds after the game comes out. And you know what: games made in the future will be hell bent on active player feedback. Updates are able to be applied in days, players are able to talk and discuss key problems and aspects of games on the internet, and the devs see the feedback and make an adjustment. Games don't just go away anymore, specifically franchise don't go away just like that anymore. We need to realize as a community that if we like what we bought but have some thoughts on it then we need to criticize it constructively. And going back to the point that I keep making: we are discussing this on a forum about a game we all bought, we obviously still care about it right. If you don't care about it anymore then go to another game, there are thousands out there and many clones that are probably trash compared to Destiny. We are here discussing it because we want it to be great but when it comes to games today, especially triple A games, we need to start letting them grow in this way. It's a vicious cycle: devs make a game, players hate on the game, devs update the game to please fans, fans don't feel like it's perfect, devs update the game to please fans, fans don't feel like it's perfect, devs update the game to please fans, fans don't feel like it's perfect, devs and it goes on and on until something new comes out to grab the attention of those fans. What I'm saying is that you're here because there is some part of you that cares for this game, so support it or go away, in not trying to be mean, there are plenty of options out there. Anthem sounds like it could be a destiny killer, go jump on that. Actually that competition may just make destiny even better.

I love your optimism, and it does remind me why I'm passionate about this game. Thank you. However, I have but a single contradiction to offer your post - Age of Triumph. In AoT, Bungie learned that player choice is important (able to play Y1 raids, and earn relevant gear, etc...), adding TO the game, and not removing/replacing rewards. Infusion finally worked (not as the masochistic version from TTK), currencies finally stabilized in Y3 (not like Y1-> Y2 where vanguard and crucible marks vanished), and a laundry list of other reasons. But it showed the customers a path (so I thought) the path/direction Bungie was taking, and hope that we wouldn't have to go through vanilla D1 learning curves all over again. We/I were/was wrong. If Bungie (the same developer that worked on D2 simultaneously with AoT DLC) knew all of this feedback and deployed goals for the development, how did it not reach the D2 room? Where was the disconnect? Management. Destiny has been mismanaged for a while now. 4 years later, we are still here hoping it improves. How much longer do paying customers wait? *small note: Ironically, I stopped playing D1 during AoT shortly after it was confirmed that nothing in D1 carried over. What was the point of the grind, if it was fruitless? It was no longer fun for me, so I stopped and played other things.

  • You're grotesquely wrong. Destiny also a looter shooter, failed to be what was advertised. Destiny 2 is still continuing it's re t a r d e d direction of being more pvp than pve. Not to mention that the big fall update that's suppose to "fix" it is, you guessed right, going back to Destiny. Still waiting for some thing new. Glad you like recycled crap. Also take your own advice next before opening you trap. Offer some thing constructive.

  • Hate much. BTW Destiny 2 is a looter shooter... you shoot stuff and get loot in reward, I go through a strike shooting enemies and get a big chest in the end with loot. I do a challenge in the Raid and get 2 chests with loot and then beat the Raid boss and get loot there too! Is it the same loot I got before, probably... but it's because I've spent hours on the strike playlist or I'm running the Raid too much. That sounds like it was my choice to exhaust the game. Don't get me wrong I do see that there are massive problems but that's only because I've put a ton of hours into this game, enough to see behind the curtain. Whats behind there is a game that I definitely got my moneys worth in time and enjoyment. It was an investment as all video games are and investments are gambles. I had fun gambling and I think my ROI is still paying off. I am on this forum talking about my investment and that is paying it off too. I'm going to log into my Warlock later and try a new combo in the strike playlist just to change things up and ill enjoy it or hate it, no matter what I'm still in it. You do you man I'm sorry for bringing you down further then you already felt. Ps; as a primarily PVE player I see what you mean by that comment, but so does Bungie. Let them fix it, if it doesn't meet your standards in enjoyment then I'm sorry but your investment didn't pay off.
