  • I've seen lots of ideas for this. My favorite two are a black hole that gets stronger and pulls enemies in and dealing more damage, and the health syphon.

  • A team buff. Linear void fusion rifle that when fired at a teammate, grants them an impenetrable shield for as long as you have ammo. When it runs out, the overshield discharges causing minor area damage.

  • Black Hole Beam Generates a high-gravity body that pulls in all enemies within a certain radius. The closer enemies are pulled the more damage they take.

  • A headshot will charge the rifle so you then tap and then it will shoot again

  • Chaining precision shots create a chain of void light energy to nearby enemies damaging them slowly. The idea here is every 3 ticks of ammo that are precision shots would throw out a smaller beam to a nearby enemy, damaging stunning or blinding them slightly, take your pick. Stacks up to 3 mini beams of awesomeness. Use the same animation as a shadowshot on a smaller scale when its active.

  • As it would be a Void Trace Beam, I think it would be nice if it could heal you as long as the beam stays connected to an enemy. As in siphoning their power. However, the heal would have to be smaller than the damage in PvP, otherwise it would lead to an infinite battle (would be funny though). In PvE, the heal should be significant enough that a regular add couldn't kill you while the beam is connected.

    • I'd like to see one where it covers the enemies in crystals (like the savathun strike). When you have used it long enough on the target, crystals build up and then glow once done, you then have to switch to another weapon to make them explode and it's does aoe damage to anything close. Obvious does some damage on its own but the bulk of the damage comes from the explosion, fireteam can shoot said enemies also to make for some interesting team play.

        What if there was a extremely accurate trace rifle where when you aimed down it, you can see where the bullet will go as a line and it can bounce off of walls and goes exactly where the line is going.

      • Critical Mass - successful hits on an enemy creates a miniature black hole that draws in surrounding adds and damages them. Continuous damage increases pull radius and damage.

      • How about instead of 1 beam it shoots a cone radius of 3 beams while not aiming down sights and if you aim down sights it becomes 1 beam that does more dmg

      • At a 5 kill streak gain one clone, 10 another and so on. However they don’t stay near you but move around randomly but copy you when you fire. Clone kills count as assists

      • Every time you kill an enemy with it, you get more grenade, melee, and class ability energy back. Maybe more super energy too but that would have to be on a small dose per kill.

      • As you damage targets, you gain energy back on your grenade, melee, and class ability More ammo than the coldheart, steadier, no damage falloff, but less impact to balance it

        • Slow health regen with a visual effect that makes it look like you're siphoning the enemy's soul.

          • Black Hole: At the point of impact surrounding enemies are pulled towards it. The longer the beam is held, the stronger the pull. And as it’s second perk, kills dramatically increase handling speed Sounds fun to me

          • Each Damage proc restores a small amount of health

          • Exotic perk: When enemies are killed by this weapon, content drops from their bodies. Because who doesn’t want more content in this DRY -blam!-ING GAME!!

          • Gun that shoots more guns, in a beam. These "beam-guns" shoot bacon, for we all know the solution is to "rub bacon on it".
