D2 Dupe Salt - Do DLC Exotics drop chances get boosted? (Speculation+Complaints)

First of all before anyone gets mad at me for it, yes I'm aware of the roadmap and the fact that the Devs are working on this issue this very moment, but part of me wants to complain a bit, because my reaction to seeing an Exotic engram is a groan now a days, and also speculate because there's some weird patterns I'm noticing. While patterns are patterns, here goes my sob story and tinfoil hat conspiracies.: So, like pretty much everyone playing the game with a decent frequency, despite the community's sour mood pretty much since launch, I've been feeling the very well known sting that is exotic duplicates. I was willing too accept them being a thing, I had just switched from PS4 to PC and bought the DLC for PC only. I now have 3 characters, one of each class, pretty much in the 325-330 range and am mostly grinding to get those exotics that would make my characters more useful, such as Orpheus Rig for my hunter. Lucky for me I'm familiar with the game enough to get a solid 5-10 exotics or more a week usually when I'm active. Double lucky for me, I've gotten about 4-5 exotic Hunter Leggings from engrams. Bad news though, they've all been Gemini Jester. And while I'm not exactly crying out for certain Exotics for my Warlock and Titan, I have noticed similar patterns, my Warlock has received at least 3 The Stag helm's and about 4 or so Ophidian Aspects. My Titan? 3 Kephri's Horns and around 4 Mk. 44 Stand Asides. OH, and of course enough Aeon gauntlets across the board, though my Warlock's gotten more Ophidian's than Aeon's. Regardless, aside from my complaining, you might be wondering what my point in all of this is. Well. All of the aforementioned Exotics are from the Expansion. So begins my speculation. Does the Bungie team boost Expansion Exotic drops a ton more when its the Expansion's Season (ie; would this happen again in S3 with the next DLC's added exotics, for the sake of this speculation, ignoring the upcoming patch on March 27th). My characters on PS4 almost have every armor exotic and weapon, I wasn't experiencing nearly as much duplication back then, still some but it wasn't like 3 Aeon gauntlets back to back like this is. I'm not sure what everyone's experiences with Exotics prior to the Expansion were, but it feels to me that, at least on the Armor exotics end, they've boosted DLC exotic chances in a way that, while is good if you're someone who wants to try out those new shiny exotics, doesn't seem to go away despite you collecting said Exotics each more than a few times over in less than 3 weeks. All speculation of course but its no secret that Bungie has kept secrets about that they could get away with for long enough from us (looking at you Public Event throttling). I could see this being a thing though, the system would benefit the casual crowd Destiny 2 seems to have been attempting to aim towards since launch, people who don't play as much would want to see those new Expansion exotics themselves so they feel like they get their moneys worth from it so the devs crank up those numbers for the entire season since duplicates only are a detriment more dedicated fans who stick around regardless (I think its more a money and numbers them than them actively attempting to harm hardcore fans of course though). Hopefully, if I'm right anyways, they're aware that this system needs to either be toned down, or at least set it so if you get a DLC Exotic, its drop rates become the same as every other exotic. That way people get a good chance at getting a DLC exotic who don't play as much and dedicated fans still get an evened out variety after collecting them. I'm not a dev of course and don't claim I know whats up over on Bungie's end. AGAIN, ALL SPECULATION, I can't emphasize that enough, its a pattern I'm noticing and it just feels explainable in my head. I don't know, that's one of the reasons I'm making this post. That and because if this is an actual thing, it would be good for community would know. And this is where I have to ask, has anyone else noticed this same pattern? Is it just me? Was this always a thing and I've just never noticed?
