They signed an exclusive ten year contract with Activision Publishing. Bungie was loaned $1/2 Billion USD from them, up front. Activision Publishing publishes, markets, produces and sells the game. Technically you're correct, but when you're exclusively bedded down with one of the largest, if not the largest, video game publishing company in the history of the industry. You don't get to rely on the: it's just little old us excuse anymore. Bungie's not a AAA developer but this game most certainly is. It has the full backing and financial support of a massive AAA publishing company. Destiny is a AAA title.
