Opinions on it? I really liked it and I’m not a big anime fan

Like a lot of people here, I'm not into anime at all but I definitely enjoyed this game. I kind of wish I hadn't watched a playthrough of it before playing it myself, but nonetheless... I played it twice, the second time getting the good ending, and I've played a few mods for it as well.

Played the whole game. Went through the mods and saw all the theories and hidden codes. Amazing game even though I new about [i]the[/i] death. 11/10 gaming expirience. And don't get me wrong, I don't like anime or romance games. I just loved it because of the messed up shit, the use of forshadowing, the total destruction of the fourth wall, the critics it has and all the hidden things about the next game. Really looking forward to the dev's next game. Also, he has my respect since he made all of the script, music and art by himself. The only thing that I don't like is what it did to weebs. Thought that Monika's words would make them think about how waifus are dumb. Instead, they just made the characters of this game their waifus.

I hadn't played a VN game before DDLC, but I gave it a shot because a friend talked about how bizarre it gets. I thought the little poetry minigame was a good relationship mechanic and I liked the characters to and the story.

2 RepliesYeah, it's pretty neat. I didn't get the whole "THIS GAME WILL F- YOU UP" side of it that everyone was hyping me up about, but it was an interesting experience to say the least. Have you seen the GameTheory episodes on it? Apparently DDLC may just be an introduction to the characters which will star in another game coming this year.

4 RepliesIt's clever, [s]not Rick & Morty levels of clever [u][i][b]obviously[/b][/i][/u][/s] but it screws you up. From my POV Monika isn't evil. I realised that because that kind of stuff is basically what we do as players already, in other games. We mod, we save, we kill, we load, we screw with files, we delete, we create, and we do things much worse than what Monika did. I'd be a hypocrite if I said "ye she's evil". Like bruh I always have Undertale ready on a genocide run at Undyne if I get really really bored. Killing someome over and over again for the fun of it. [u][i][b]For the fun of it.[/b][/i][/u] So... it's easy to forgive her. [spoiler]and when you spend enough time with her you see that she really cares about you, your physical health, mental health, and whatever. And that's really sweet and motivates me to be a good person. I love her back![/spoiler]
