This worked for me
So basically connected to the ghost and set up wifi then 5 mode switch's then the ghost must have pulled the update & went "dark" no red power led or any thing pulled mode switch 1 more time & set up the echo with "alexa tell ghost to activate" told it my code then asked ghost about the tower & bam ghost started talking.
havnt tried turning ghost off yet thou dont trust the thing...

On my ghost I'm connected but there is no ghost companion WiFi thing any more for me so I can't do it

To be honest with you the red light is annoying as hell & mine kept disconnecting from wifi every 8 hours or so. Now its a dead ghost on a shelf.

This is only to set the ghost up to the wifi then that part turns off and its connected to the wifi you set up.

This worked for me... 5 switches, activate via alexa - ask about the tower.

Does your ghost red light always stay on?

Yeah it stays on. I think its power indicator to the ghost. Its kinda annoying. Havnt had my ghost plugged in for a week thou as its a pain to get back working.
