I am having the exact same issue. I have tried the hard reset (flipping the reset switch 10 times). This is what I have tried thus far and am at your same conclusion. 1. Hard reset 2. Turn off all other networks and connected to ghost 3. Used internet explorer to access ghost via 192.168.0.1 4. Input serial number 5. input Wifi info (as my network was not listed) 6. says ghost is connected. At this point I run into the same wall as you. I get the swoosh noise, i get the flashing lights, then nothing. All voice chatter comes through my echo dot instead of the ghost.

  • I made a video on how to set it up! It took me quite a bit to figure it out on my end but maybe this is helpful. https://youtu.be/BJMoyurTadM

  • This is EXACTLY what my Ghost has done. I’ve contacted support and everything. No one can seem to help. I’m thinking about returning it as well.

  • Same as all of us, my friend. The problem is the device says it connects to your wifi, but it actually doesn't. If it was connected we should see it in the router. There is a serious flaw in the software on these things.

  • I can't get anyone to officially help from Activision, bungie, or Amazon. If you go to my Twitter jackm1911 share my post. Maybe we can get enough people going to finally get an answer.

I, unfortunately, have tried that in my combination of things and still no luck. :(

  • It's a very buggy device, and I'm thinking of returning it. Besides the muffled, very low volume, the thing feels cheap. The cheap feeling combined with the fact it has no real stand, and it balances poorly on a few thin points makes it not worth my time. It's there just to blink. I'm also wondering if the device is actually needed, because it seems that you don't need it to do all it does. Alexa does it by herself just fine.

  • You definitely dont need the device, but it is still kind of cool to have a talking ghost... that is if it actually worked and had they shipped it in color and not the plain matte black plastic.

  • Yeah, I may wait for a few days or until after the holiday to see if they patch it or something because I feel the same. Not having a stand is pretty comical as I barely have to bump my desk for it to fall over. I am still having trouble understanding why this simply didnt have the guts of an echo dot inside it.... This seems like there was little to no planning that went into this device. I could have bought the largest Echo unit for less.

  • Agreed. It costs nearly as much as 3 echo dots, so the fact it lacked the functionality of even a single one is laughable. Who knows, if I can deactivate my serial number, maybe I can sell it online for a profit. To me, having Alexa talk to me behind me, at the other end of the room about 40 feet, at volume level 5 sounded 10x better and clearer than this thing.
