U will find out about the darkness in destiny 3 they said they wanted 2 make destiny 2 all about the light.

They need to build on the game not do a full d3 I understand going a full stand alone d2 as they changed code and rebuilt for just the modern consoles and pcs, so good they have done that now destin3 needs to just be destiny 2 3.0 I.e. destiny 3

Its still possible they could introduce the darkness in dlc3 or year 3 expansion now that the travelers awake the darkness has also awakened as u saw at the end of the main story with those triangle ships at the edge of the galaxy so u may learn more in 9 months time about darkness in dlc or 3 years in like a short rise of iron dlc just have 2 wait 2 find out but d2 is supposed 2 be focused on the light not darkness thats why i think they may hold back untill d3 comes out.
