I do not know how well this will be seen. I noticed that a lot of people saying Osiris armor shown in the trailer was Egyptian based. Clearly because his name is Egyptian. My believe is that it is based on the Aztec Eagle Warriors. His story is also somewhat similar to that Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl was the god of priesthood, learning, and knowledge. Of course Osiris is not a god but he has a group following his teachings like he was one. The closed thing to priest in Destiny are Warlocks. Another myth regarding Quetzalcoatl as the god of light or the Lord of the star of dawn. We see Osiris specially use the dawnblade is the trailer. Quetzalcoatl was exiled from his lands and the Aztecs believe he would return to rule again and to destroy his enemies. All these similarities between Quetzalcoatl starting clicking in my head as I watched the trailer. I know more about Mesoamerican mythology than Egyption. If anyone can provide a Egyptian myth that's even closer to how Osiris looks and what we know about his back story, let me know. Thoughts?
