I haven't bought D2 yet, I'm still considering it. One thing that bugs me a bit but I don't see many people talking about is how snipers, shotguns and fusion rifles are now power weapons that use purple ammo. In D1 I love having a sniper equipped 95% of the time in PvE, while also having a rocket launcher or sword as my heavy.
The change is a little dissapointing. It makes sense from a PvP balancing point of view I guess, but for PvE it seems to really restrict how I want to play. I could have two auto rifles if I wanted but I would have to choose between either a rocket launcher or a sniper rifle.
How does this affect your enjoyment of the game, or do you get used to it and not really miss the extra option?

I'm not much of a PvP player so it doesn't benefit me. I don't like the change at all on PvE. Was this supposed to be a more of a PvE game? I mean how different will the story be told, not by PvP that's for sure. So yes again Destiny 2 totally got it wrong, one of many.....and yes it stops me from playing the game i liked!

I like it, but then I was not predominately a sniper/shotty PVP player in D1. Don't get me wrong, I liked a good ping to the dome with a sniper on occasion, but I'm better with primaries. I also like that they are more situational now. Power ammo also drops quite a bit in PVE, so it's not a big deal. I think it was a good change.

Well I’ve gotten used to it but personally I still think smaller fusion rifles and shotguns should not be in a heavy slot. And certain snipers
