2010: Bungie announces partnership with Activison. Rumors float around that this could mean multi-platfrom games produced by Bungie. We hold our breaths.
2011: After the release of Reach, new Halo fans flock to the Bungie forums. Some get through to the Flood. More Halo fanboys arise. War breaks loose.
2012: Bungie announces their new IP. This new IP will launch on all platforms. This brings new fanbases from all consoles alike to the site to discuss Bungie's new IP.
Early 2013: Fanboys on all forums launch their collective threads, pouncing on every other console other than their preferred platform.
2014: War breaks out amongst the Flood. Every user takes a side. Trolls seek opportunity as the Mods are busy containing the fuss. Random nimps, rickrolls, and Justin Bieber links rise across the board. Hell is upon us.
Late 2014: The Flood is nothing less than a empty wasteland. War has ended, and very few remain.
2015: Those smart ones who never took sides in the fanboy war rise amongst the aftermath. They seek no reason to stay as nearly everyone else has left the site. They flock to other gaming communites.
2017: Bungie, unaware until now of the war, cans their new IP. They have no fanbase and no one to make a game for. All members of Bungie have now joined various other game producing companies.
And, thus, Bungie and their community is no more. Remember these days as they are golden.

Original post from July 29, 2010. Ever since someone unearthed this thread a couple of years ago I've kept its memory in the back of my head vowing that I will bump it again when the time comes, curious to see the reaction. Here I am now, ready to release myself from this burden. If I don't get any replies, then that's that, I consider my part complete and can forget about it at last.

Edited by Just Dawggy Dawg: 7/5/2015 2:29:55 AMEhh... no. Desticles are just going to turn Halo into an ancient relic that no longer matters. This is our place now. Call me Founding Father Dawgy Dawg as I sign the Desticlartion of Independence as we stand seperate from Halo punks. Desticles stand with me on this momentous day and reply to my comment signing your Founding Father name at the end! Just like the Americans ran the redcoats out of this land... us Desticles shall run the Haloins out of this space in cyber space! -Founding Father Dawgy Dawg- -Signed July 4th 2015-

Anxious to see what happens in 2017 now.

And that's the story of how sep7agon.net started to gain power.

I'd rather not think of the crap we're going to have to clean up once Bungie goes multiplatform.

Bump whenever you Find

Not sure why so many are pretending this is sooooo accurate. Bungie's partnership with Activision, the new game, and people flocking to the new game are all that's correct. There was no console war on the Flood, only a small exodus of users (unrelated to Destiny), no more mass spamming than usual, and things remain relatively calm here. Hell, I'd go so far as to say the Flood remains the most intact community of Bungie's since the new game/site redesign. This is the one board on this site that has not been absorbed by the Destiny hype/fanbase. That prediction is about as accurate as the 2012 apocalypse.

We need our generation recorded! We live on in our flood-children! We've rebuilt!

Terrific

Tak is a sneaky necro-er.

While the Flood didn't "self-destruct", it is frozen in the year 2013.

My god... This guy predicted the future!!
