Pretty much. But I'm in the situation where hip hop and metal are my two favorite genres. So.. I'm totally okay with it. Personally I'm just happy to see the scene getting experimental for a change. I've been listening to the same rebranded hip hop since the day I first saw NWA on Yo MTV Raps decades ago. It's like the entire genre collectively said "well.. that settles it. Everyone will do gangster rap from now on" and that was pretty much it. Plus.. I've seen the birth of enough sub genres over the years to remember how terrible they always start out before the next generation comes along and actually makes it sound good. Gotta give it time.

Hey, I remember that show, too, but I don't tell people that.

You wanna hear something truly sad? I still have my collection of Yo MTV Raps trading cards. Stumbled across them the other day. First card on top? Color Me Bad... Now that's a group I haven't thought of in a very long time..

That's actually one of the greatest things I've ever heard...read...whatever.

He has some serious potential and I can't wait to see what he comes up with. I just haven't done a deep dive on him yet. I probably will once he releases more music.
