Just wanted to explain something, even though it amazes me how something so simple to understand has gone over so many people's heads.
If someone makes an LFG post, it means they're looking to join someone else's group.
If someone makes an LFM post, it means they're looking for people to join their group.
So in other words, stop messaging people making LFG posts asking for an invite, and stop inviting people making LFM posts to your fireteam.
That is all.

The only post I make is an LFC post.
Looking for carry
Lokking 4 seix

I never knew lfm was even an acronym... thanks
-
It really is crazy. I even put "invite me" or "'msg for invite" at the end of my lfg/lfm posts and I still get the wrong ones.
-
Who cares.
-
WHAT!?! I thought it was a dating site LFG = looking for girl LFM = looking for man. No wonder I wasn't getting swiped. Thanks for bringing my confidence back up bro. Guess that's why the guys on Match.com kept getting angry when all I wanted to do was play Destiny.

In the last few months or so LFG.net has had a massive imbalance of "LFGs" to that of "LFMs".
-
The problem is that so many people post LFM when in reality they are LFG because they're too lazy to change it
-
Nah, most people just use the LFG option cause they're lazy.
-
Whoever posts looking to join a group is dumb as fook lol It's not year 1 anymore
-
This happens to me most of the time. I'll make a post indicating that I'm looking for a group when instead I'll receive messages from people asking for an invite. Comprehending the difference between the two, all I can tell these people is I'm by myself and that I don't have a party all ready to go. If you're the one operating the party then you're usually the one also scouting out other players. I'd probably prefer going through the process of evaluating raid stats for each individual player before I decide if they're going to join my team, if I were to go down that route for inviting people. The process itself would take time and probably not go over too well with people already sitting in the party.
-
To bad the people you speak of are to dumb to read this, but you get an up vote from me.

You know what tends to encourage me to respond to a request, even if made in error as described in the OP? Humour. I remember getting a voice message from someone regarding a Kings Fall sherpa run that was so funny I jumped him to the front of the queue. Turned out to be a good move. He was competant and the raid was hilarious. Sometimes, people should offer more than just "inv"

Bump. This is something that comes from years ago. Gotta pass down the traditions properly.
-
Dammit. I thought LFG was Looking for Girls and LFM was Looking for Men. No wonder LFG is so popular.
-
Lost count of the number of LFG posts that state " need 2 more ". Even the OP gets it wrong.
-
I hate using the Bungie LFG
Message Me
-4/5 people send a friend request Especially when they set it to where only their friend can message them, those guys are the Champions of Bungo LFG
-
My LFG bane. At least I know I probably won't up in a group with that person though. Been off LFG for months now though. Feels good.
-
I've experienced that plenty of times. I'm not surprised by people's actions anymore. People just don't read period. Thanks for sharing. Here's to hoping people wise up.

Holy crap I never realized. I thought lookin for more was like I want to join your clan...like more than friends
that got weird quick
