No need for it, at least on the XB side of the game. They already provide a built in LFG system via XBL and offer clubs where people who support a game can come together.

Didn't you read my full post? I discussed that topic in the EDIT I did.

  • I read the question voted and gave my reasoning for voting the way that I did, your edit doesnt change anthing for me. When XBL updates or changes settings in regards to the user interface you receive a mini tutorial explaining what was changed and how it will effect your gaming experience. So unless you deliberately skip this notification you know that the feature is available. Instead of pressuring Bungie to add a redundant feature we should focus on educating the community itself about the features already available for use. The features are already available if a player opts not to use them that's their problem, development time should not be wasted on this.

Xbox does not tell players that they can do raids with other people through an LFG group. Nor does bungie. In fact I would say it's very difficult to know if the raiding community if your not constantly on the internet (which surprisingly is a lot of individuals). The reason I made this post was for bungie to add an LFG system into their game. It would be quick, easy and encourage more players to stay with the game. So no my post was not to say "Xbox already has it so who cares." Bungie NEEDS to impliment or promote something WITHIN THEIR GAME to show players of the raiding experience. Bungie is not allowed to, nor ever will, promote Xbox for LFG. players don't need another third party app, destiny needs something within the game.

  •
Xbox does not tell players that they can do raids with other people through an LFG group.
Xbox live tells people about the LFG feature that is available on their platform and about clubs where you can meet up with players that play the games that you like. They did so as soon as you downloaded the update that introduced the feature.
Bungie NEEDS to impliment or promote something WITHIN THEIR GAME to show players of the raiding experience.
If you're arguing that PSN doesn't offer this same feature that is readily available on XBL then make that argument. Saying Bungie needs to do it because people are either too lazy to use a feature that is already available to them is silly. Making a post listing the various LFG options that are available would be more productive than pressuring Bungie to add a redundant feature. It's like the in game chat feature all over again. We need in game chat it gets added and nobody uses it because PSN and XBL already offer that feature....

Your missing the point. I'm guessing you raid often, would that be correct? Well let me wake you up to the rest of the community, barely any of the players on this game know about LFG. I don't care if Xbox says "hey guys we have a looking for group feature that sucks wang!" It doesn't help bungie or the community in any way. Sure destinylfg.net is great but it's not a BUNGIE THING. People need to know about the best part of this game RAIDS! Clearly Xbox has been shown to not be a solution to this issue so I made a petition to add something that would not only promote raiding but make it easier for newer and older players to use. Xbox does not show any players about raiding at all and Bungie needs to create/promote something that does. I want the WHOLE community, both those who are constantly on the internet and those who aren't to be raiding. It's a fun experience and by the numbers we know of the XBOX feature doesn't do jack shit for the community. BUNGIE NEEDS TO CREATE A SYSTEM FOR THIS!!!! Also Idgaf about PSN, that's not why I came up with this lfg idea. I created it to help the players who don't raid to get started with a good group.

  •
Your missing the point. I'm guessing you raid often, would that be correct?
More than likely you've already checked my completions in my Grimoire before asking this question so let's not waste anymore of our time with questions you already have the answer to. I'm not missing your point, I just don't agree with your point.
Well let me wake you up to the rest of the community, barely any of the players on this game know about LFG.
If they don't know about it then tell people about the tools instead of wasting time added a redundant feature because people are too lazy to use LFG that's built into their console. Anyone who post on this site has LFG available to them in the recruitment section from Bungie. Players have options its up to them use them not keep expecting Bungie to keep investing time and effort to create things that have already been provided.
Raids can be seen on the map interface when you're picking destinations to travel to. They have kiosk that show the available emblems you get for completing raid challenges. Bungie gives sneak peeks at various PvE endgame activities when building hype for DLC/ spring updates. Bungie has done its part to advertise raids.
I want the WHOLE community, both those who are constantly on the internet and those who aren't to be raiding.
Then make post advertising the already available LFG features for this game or take time out of your day to show people the ropes in raids.
It's a fun experience and by the numbers we know of the XBOX feature doesn't do jack shit for the community.
The Xbox feature is actually pretty helpful and allows people to search for groups without having to leave their console. Just because you're unhappy about the number of people involved with raids that doesn't means its due to people not being aware of LFG. My reason for not raiding currently is more about it being pointless for me, not a lack of available tools to be able to find people.
BUNGIE NEEDS TO CREATE A SYSTEM FOR THIS!!!!
No, they don't need to. Typing in all caps like a Preteen isn't going to change that.

First of all I would like to thank you for reading my full post I appreciate that. addressing the first thing, I don't check stats, I find that act childish. I was in fact noting that you are probably an experienced raider who has known about LFG for quite some time. I was basically trying to state that you have never been on the opposite side of the spectrum. So take the compliment. I started raiding just before the release of Crota's end. I had known about the raids and tried to get my friends to want to join me in doing the raid but non of them wanted to join me. I got lucky and stumbled across LFG through another player in patrol who introduced me. If not for that player I would probably still be running strikes and attempting to solo nightfalls. My point is to say that LFG is not promoted in any way by bungie or Xbox. And the raids you see on the planets are nothing more then destinations that make no sense to a regular player. Trust me I was one. But even if Xbox is somewhat of a good option (which I've mostly heard that its terrible) it can't be promoted in their game. Bungie needs to create an In-game kiosk to show players about these raids and give them a chance to finish it with other new players creating a great community. I think it would be a great benefit for the game and rather easy to implement. Also I DIDN"T USE ALL CAPS TO ACT LIKE A 14 YEAR OLD. I did it to exaggerate a point. To show how enthusiastic I feel about this diverse topic. But i hate to continue a long argument so if you want the last laugh be my guest. I agree if this change will affect Bungies ability to produce a good raid/story/crucible I would not like it to be implemented. However, I do think this could be helpful for the entire community. Thank you for keeping the conversation positive, you're a great guardian.
