Think again. Sure, some people can be trustworthy, but others aren't. Make sure you know and trust someone before even contemplating giving them access to your account. Even if you do feel like you trust someone, remember there are risks.
There's been some people lately just straight up deleting peoples characters and items, and then those people are upset and try to get Bungie to restore their things. Guess what? They won't, no matter what.

Also someone pointed this out, allowing someone to recover your account (if you paid for it) is against Bungie's Code of Conduct anyways. Not only do you risk getting your stuff deleted, but you risk getting in trouble with Bungie, which would make everything you do on Destiny pretty much pointless.

For those of you asking me for proof, please go here and read this section about harassment. If you read it clearly and understand, you'll see why you're not receiving any proof. The proof is on the forums.

If you want to go to the Lighthouse, find two people who are willing to help you! Even if it's not Trials related, please know the risks! Be careful! Stay safe!

Remade this thread because Trials is back. Please bump for awareness! Have an awesome day, guys!

I am surprised you are STILL not a mentor. You have been doing this stuff for years. My condolences.

This is great advice. You should never give out your personal information and passwords to others for any reason. The Account Security link Lullaby shared has some great tips on how to help protect your accounts.

Trials is back, everyone be safe!

Need 1 for trials Gt: m0nkeyking69

Anyone want to do a recovery for me? I have 200 dollars for a flawless and be sure not to delete anything, but I don't need to say that cause everyone is trustworthy😀
-
I remember back during the Halo 3 days that they'd have messages telling people to not fall for phishing. Maybe they should bring that back if it's a problem for people on here.

Bump!

Super bumping. Please be aware of this, I'm seeing it happen even more. Please be careful. Stay safe.

So buff sidearms?

Bump for awareness!

If you ever give your account to someone for a carry, I really hope they do delete everything. Stupid things need to happen to stupid people.
-
I would imagine that if and when account recoveries start to become a really big problem, bungie will start to ban people. Don't have a problem with carries bc they are actually playing. Do have a major problem with recoveries. And honestly, if you guys are paying people to recover your account and they are deleting your characters, you deserve it lmao.
-
Honestly, whats the fun in account recoveries.? Everything you earn feels 100x better when you use it knowing you grinded for it. Find a group of friends or go into recruitment forums and head into Trials. Its challenging yes, but thats the point of it.

Excellent post! Make yourselves aware Guardians. 😉

Great post, well done Lullaby.

Good advice. I would also add for people to hide their name on xbox. See too many people showing their first and last name. You piss off the wrong person you never know.

"SOAP TRUST NO ONE!!!"

I hope you don't get promoted to forum mod for this pathetic attempt c:
-
Yes, and I am glad I did. See video for details
-
I don't get why they're so desperate to actually consider paid carries and account recoveries in the first place. Does going Flawless really mean that much to them?
-
If you try to get an account recovery and get your stuff deleted you deserve that.
-
Anyone over the age of 10 shouldn't need this advice. No adult with credit card info etc tied to their account is ever gonna do this so I really don't see it a big issue. Just dumb kids being dumb, clearly they needed to be taught a lesson.

Edited by Just Shaded: 4/9/2017 11:38:24 AMOkay you're not right at all. People who do recovs will 99% of the time not do anything to the account. They're doing this stuff for money and they want to keep making money. If they screw you they're going to get a bad rep and people won't pay them anymore. They're going to get you what you wanted and get off the account not even going as far as decrypting an engram. You're looking at worst case "kermitdafrog" scenario which is a 1 in a million chance. While it's a possibility it's highly unlikely that any intelligent person who is known to do recovs will not screw you in any way. At the end of the day it's business and intelligent people want their name to spread and customers to return.

Wow! Copying the entire bungie policy on deleted characters and other things and posting it on the forums! I've never seen a more desperate attempt to get promoted to a forum mod than this one. Bravo
