A Possilble Reason for why our SHADERS won't carry over.
I know a lot of people are unhappy that their shaders won't carry over (Believe I really want my superblack to carry over). We grinded for these things and they're part of what makes our Guardian...well...OUR guardian. That being said perhaps the reason behind why Bungie isn't letting shaders carry over is because they may not be using a shader system in Destiny 2. Perhaps they're doing what they did in Halo and allow you to choose your colors or maybe they're doing something else.
What I'm trying to say is, maybe they're not bringing our Shaders to Destiny 2 because they [b]may[/b] not be using the Destiny 1 customization system

Would get a laugh if they take from MMO systems where each piece of gear has a color slot to equip a "shader" type change to a piece like ornaments now. 100 silver for a random shader pack....

Did they confirm that shaders and emblems are part of your "possessions" and won't carry over? Just checking. And has there been any word on Grim score? Personally I don't think they'll carry, hopefully because they have a new/better system. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glad for a fresh start. Especially since I just got a PS4 and therefore have all my progress on the wrong machine hahaha. As it stands, I may just buy the D1 disc for 5 bucks and beat vanilla story for the facial import unless they give me some seriously cool incentives to earn from playing the DLC

Or because they are using a new engine and don't want to render everything then have to put what is it 50 shaders on the new gear

Single dye purchase only applies to a single armor piece, individual dye purchases will be needed for left boot, right boot, left arm, right arm, chest, back, helmet, and class item color changes. So come on down to Eververse, where you too, can be blue. Am I using the right too, to? I'm never sure...

2 RepliesDoesn't bother me that they are not carring over. But if they do still use shaders in destiny 2 i would lile to see an option to make a custom shader that you build your self. Maube you would treat it like the gunsmith and earn rep points that unlocks paint packages that hives you lets say 10 colors to customize with.

Raids, Trials, SRL, grinding for rep packages, Factions, taking part in promotions, etc. They have meaning to them. It's really something you don't see often in other games. Just being able to slap anything we want on our Guardians would really make flying our colors less interesting.

1 ReplyHoo boy! I would LOVE a color wheel/palette sort of thing for my armor! I just hope you could change the color of individual armor pieces, but maybe that'd be too difficult.
