Iron banner and connection.

I have an odd issue, every single time Iron banner is around, my connection to destiny just dies, goes to red as long as I'm not in orbit, and I have no idea why. It's only ever during the iron banner week though, occasionally I'll get a red bar connection outside of it but it always goes away. But when IB comes around it just turns red and stays red. Can somebody please explain why this is happening to me? I don't think there is a way to fix it I just want to know why it's happening.

  • This happens to me everytime. For me it starts during Trials, but only the Trials that is immediately followed by Iron Banner. And the issue lasts until the last day of iron banner. Essentially Bungie throws X players into a crappy server. In some cases you arw hand selected if yoi say anything nad towards them on forums. Your connection etc does not matter. You can have the best Internet connection imaginable but it does not matter as you will still experience these issues. I have the best Internet pack Time Warner offers and I still have these issues. Trust me I've troubleshooted with my Internet provider, bungie, and microsoft. In the end all fingers point to bungie bc this issue always happens during this time. Lol can you tell I'm frustrated?! Even in playing pve during this period you may notice, sounds delays and the sound going in and out. You may also experience getting stuck in loading screens forever during game play. And in some cases destiny will not even load. Bungie will just tell you to check your comnection. They are like republicans in putting the blame on you versus admitting they have issues. It's a farce.

    • try putting an Ethernet cable into your Xbox/Playstation. that seems to help me with bad internet. If you already have one in, unplug it from both sides and re-plug it in. If that doesn't work, sorry.
