No. Playing the objective recklessly is not any better than avoiding it in total. I only go for a cap if it's safe to do so, or if I have a teammate or 2 to help me cap. Etc.
I don't wanna run and grab the spark when I know 3 guys are camping it and they'll kill me as soon as a pick it up. They'd probably end up getting more points for stopping the runner than for picking up the spark.

Actually, you get a shield when you pick up the spark, which makes it so you can only die if A: you get nova bombed or slammed Or B: at least 4 enemies teamshot you
