What I mean by this is that SIVA as a unique type of self replicating material,Nanite, augmentative machine, and yes even a form of power source as it seems capable of generating energy on its own.
With this said these are the reason why SIVA now that's been unleashed will never leave
1. As it already has its hooks in the Fallen Devil Splicers it will likely spread to other Houses given time.
2.SIVA infects the land and continues to replicate even after we destroyed the replication plant it still continues to exists.
3. It can theoretically run forever as the Raid Armor states therefore centuries could pass and a single drop of SIVA is still viable.
4. Nanites infect everything even those that are around it still have it clinging to their clothing and SIVA is definitely not an exception as shown in the Grimoire Cards and the Intro cinematic making it a perfect form of vector to spread into unforeseen areas.
5.It can influence all forms of life not just the Human,Awoken,Exo,Hive, or Eliksni it can and most likely will spread to the other factions in a virulent manner.
6.SIVA as a whole is something that can't be eliminated or controlled as its always growing and seems to evolve as well. Frankly the huge plot hole of how SIVA didn't continue spreading unchecked is a mystery as it is "self replicating" meaning it can use any material around it to make more of itself therefore meaning that the replication chamber only add newer original strain SIVA then the newly grown version which only means it should have spread far beyond the Plaguelands and deep into the cosmodrome.
7.As weapons such as Gjallarhorn,Outbreak Prime and the raid weaponry/armor use SIVA as the building blocks of the weaponry SIVA has theoretically already infected everything around these weapons by mere proximity even if the SIVA was reprogrammed to work in these weapons it means it would still follow the directives its given without end. Meaning I say "Build,Repair, and Enhance" the SIVA will take the meaning literally and branch off the said weapon and build and repair along with enhancing everything it comes into contact with.
8.SIVA is the only way the Fallen as a species can survive now. We have murdered almost all the Prime servitors in the other major houses and I doubt the house of Kings have 4 Prime servitors lying around to produce that much ether. As SIVA can make artificial ether as shown in collection patrol missions it means SIVA will be the only way for themselves as a species to grow and reclaim what they lost without the use of the Prime Servitors.
9.SIVA will spread unchecked whether we like it or not by simply the devil splicers mere presence sending the stuff out off their very bodies. Meaning they have already seeded Mars, the Moon, Earth and quite possible Venus as well meaning even if we have eliminated it on earth it has 3 or 4 more planets to grow unchecked on.
10. The only way to annihilate something so small as a nanite would be to either a completely annihilate the atomic structure of the surrounding area leaving nothing but a carbon hole in the ground and not even a single nanite left or a large scale EMP but SIVA may be resistant to that as shown during the Iron Tomb mission it can absorb a lot of energy and only merely temporarily shutdown. The other problem with this is that SIVA is airborne meaning all it needs to do is take a nice wind current and its dispersed everywhere.
Hope this adds a bit of interest to everyone for Destiny 2 thinking.

SIVA really isn't that interesting, lore-wise. We need more on the Cabal , Vex or Fallen.

Edited by SaintForAll: 11/26/2016 1:59:04 AMWhy exactly did siva attack the Iron Lords when it gained control? Did rasputin give siva directives to attack them or did it do that on its own?
-
If you were able to upload a technovirus to some sort of mainframe that the nanites would receive their directives from, you would theoretically be able to wipe out SIVA
-
Have SIVA get to Saturn, infect the dead husk of Oryx, reanimate him similar to the dead Iron Lords, and we have a SIVA Hive God reborn. He wouldn't need his worm anymore, SIVA would restore and enhance his decayed parts.

*insert Zavala voice*
Whether we wanted it or not, SIVA has stepped in our universe once and for all. We'll eliminate their arguments, one by one. Aksis, Archon Priest commands the Devil Splicers from a Perfection Chamber just outside the Plaguelands. Kill him, Guardian.
I just want D2 to be a fresh start, to fix and correct al the problems Destiny has had before and since launch
-
You know what hasn't appeared The proper spelling of reappear.
-
It also has an entire planet somewhere in the galaxy. Also, I really want to see a Taken v SIVA destination that's a spiritual successor to the Quarantine Zone from Halo 2; put a TRUE Plagueland in the series.
-
Siva or Taken Mythoclast please.
-
We need another April update where every week Skolas is brought up and is either normal, Taken, or SIVA that would be fun
-
Not a big fan of the plague lands, I've virtually stopped going there and the temple.
-
You do realize we can kill gods in this game, everything can be erased, hell they erased year one.
-
Idk, I've spread SIVA EVERYWHERE, I use outbreak prime quite a bit, I guess I'm inadvertently making the situation worse.
-
its all sword logic. consume light, become more powerful.
-
Why would we want SIVA to leave? SIVA is about as evil as concrete or a hammer since it's will and purpose is determined by the user. I say we raid the replication chamber, rebuild it, and start mass production of consensus controlled SIVA. We could have indestructible, self repairing SIVA walls around the city and SIVA infused frames to create an offensive force to retake earth. If frankly kinda stupid how were not using this opportunity.
-
Remember Owl Sector? The guardians were spreading siva nanites between one another. Technically, siva should already be on the moon, all of earth, mars, Venus, Mercury, the dreadnaught, the reef... One thing I didn't understand about rise of iron was the destruction of the replication chamber. Surely siva can still replicate without a 'chamber?'
-
Well it can actually die out... Since we destroyed the replication chamber it can't continue to grow so it will eventually disappear unless it or the fallen can find a new way to produce it. And I get it, self replicating should mean it doesn't need a central production area, but according to video game logic it does

I love Siva. The gear is awesome, it all looks amazing, and the people using it are literally butchering the hive we are so sick of seeing. Siva is love. Siva is life.
-
I'm fine with SIVA hanging around...better question, why is the Taken still around? Can they just leave already? Please.
-
I am just astounded by this post. SBMM was not mentioned and neither was ghsot bullets. Well done my friend.

interesting points, Guardian

Do you even timegate brah? Time travel allows them to write any of the nonsensical shit out of the game so there doesn't have to be continuity
-
Could use a few spaces in between points...
-
Bungie is too lazy to remove Siva or Taken crap. It will be there till Y10

Every single thing in the new DLC is red with a tiny head. I honestly think they all look like the same enemy.
