You know, a cutscene before and after each mission. I also hope they're not all just dialogue based cutscenes, throw us some action scene bungie! WE NEED MEANINGFUL CUTSCENES!
Edit: We're trending! It seems a lot of you would like this :)
-
What Bungie should do is just have Cayde giving his commentary throughout the game and story. Then they'd have a game really worth selling. "All right guardian. All you've gotta do is scrap the Gate Lord and take its headpiece. Sounds simple enough, right?" *Gate Lord appears* "*long whistle* Hoo boy, he's a big one. Okay, shouldn't be too much of a problem for you. By the way, I may have a little bet riding on you winning so no pressure, but try not to die, please."
-
You spelled 'content' wrong.
-
I -blam!-ing hope that the voice actors for our guardians would come back or get new ones if they can't. A cutscene with them doing nothing gets boring.
-
WTF!!! we already have cutsences from destiny 2 ?
-
A decent story would be nice.
-
Cutscenes showing our guardian actually doing something rather than awkwardly standing and listening to other people talking
-
Make sure they can't be skipped too
-
And just another trending poster
-
You did the whole "we're trending" crap. Changed mine to No.
-
I don't want to wear out the circle button on my controller....
-
-
Yea and a storyline instead of having to go to an app or a website to read it -_-

Edited by SuperWood44: 11/7/2016 11:07:35 PMWe said this about rise of iron, and bungie (again) didnt care what we had to say.
-
Did you just make a post that isn't a shitpost?!
-
How about a cutscene actually meaningful. Right now we have cutscenes of things happening while we do nothing and partake in nothing of the cutscene.
-
I want to see actual story progression, not a bunch of random pieces taken from the game's lore. We've even forgotten about the Traveler at this point.
-
That's a no brainer
-
There should be a cutscene anytime you have to have your ghost scan/look at something. It would tell the story better.
-
I could t care less. I'm not for it or against it. I skip every cutscene anyway but that's not to say it wouldn't be good for others who want it. Maybe yes, then there is an option for everyone.
-
If they are GOOD cutscenes that actually develop the story, shed light on the lore, and make the characters worth mentally investing ourselves in, sure. If they are very shallow, vague cutscenes that don't really explain anything and only act as filler, then I wouldn't be missing much.
-
Would be cool but how about a way to actually figure out the destiny story without the feeling of having to be tom hanks in the davinci code movies lol
-
Actual. Story. Missions. Not just areas in patrol! Like Cayde's Stash. That mission is great, but no other mission is like it.
-
I'd like to see a more cohesive and expansive story in D2. Whether that's done with cut-scenes or other narrative tools isn't important. We've all read the articles about how Destiny's story got ripped to pieces mere months before release and they had to cobble together what they could from the remaining assets that were already produced. Obviously this impacts your ability to tell a good story. At least I'm hoping that's the case and that Bungie will be capable of actually delivering a quality story next time around. They have created a very interesting game world with extensive lore/back story. Now we just need them to do something creative with it. If you put a good story on top of what Destiny already does well, you'd have a pretty great game.
-
And get this....
we get our voice back!
-
If there's an actual story being told, and if they're in the style of The Taken King and Rise of Iron's cutscenes, and if our character actually does something else than standing and staring at the person talking to him/her, then yes.
-
The cutscenes from Taken King and Rise of Iron are great. We need more cutscenes like those.
