Unable to join other person on same network

So this has been a thing for quite awhile. I can't seem to join my brother on the same network. It's really stupid, we just want to play together! I know they talked about this and suggested things. But not everyone has the same WiFi thingy. Does anyone else has the same problem? There's no way it's just us!
ClownLivesMatter
• Open your ports for your xbox. We did this yesterday and it's still currently working with no issues. Talk to Microsoft and they will say what ports are required to be open. Hope this will help you

  • Hey there, Currently, Bungie is aware and actively investigating the issue. You can find current updates and information in the Marionberry, Canary, and Local Network Fireteam Issues pinned thread. Make sure your home network is properly configured by following instructions in the 'Allowing Destiny Connections' KB article. After attempting the above, you can provide Bungie additional information by following instructions in the pinned thread, Apologies for the inconvenience. Hope this helps!
Death is not The Sickness unto death. ~ Soren Kierkegaard
• Don't worry it's not just you, there's a lot of us and unfortunately it looks like it's getting worse rather than better :( Holding out hope that next week's update won't be about unnecessary nerfs and punishing players but will just address this issue up front with a fix. Not likely... but we can hope.

    • Get a new router. That's what I did that supports gaming and it has been great for us

I am done with this. Can't stay connected during matches, raids, etc. lagging out constantly. Connection test says download speed 83.9. Upload speed is 10.6. Plenty to run your game. I am starting a post for a class action lawsuit against bungie. Everyone paid to play your game. That is the service that you advertise. Play alone or together your choice. No where in any ads did it say I would get a small zoo or pet store worth of error codes during gameplay. Too many people play together on here whether it's the same network or across the world. You have until Tuesday then I start my class action suit. Fix your shit now

        • My roommate are having the same problem. Every time we want to play it takes forever to network so we can play. WHAT IS GOING ON?
