Sniper flinch needs removed
The sniper flinch needs removed. The flinch literally makes the gun a camping weapon and on top of that it makes it useless in a fire fight. The flinch was added bc of derper shotguners and needs and needs to be removed immediately.
The statistics from this iron Banner will show what is balanced and what is not. Considering everybody's fuc king running around with shotguns derping around like fuc king morons like they're fuc king good and they're not.
Shotguners just need to close the gap which isn't that hard. People using snipers have to find a lil dot and time a shot right. It takes more skill to get a kill with a sniper over any other gun in the game. So what does bungie do to cater to the masses? Nerf the hardest gun type in the game to a point of being useless.

Honestly, flitch is fine as it is but I think the amount of flinch should very on impact and damage drop off (range stat) of the weapon it's being flinched by not a over all percentile as it was

What they need to do is fix the amount of flick certain archetypes do, high impact things should do a lot more flinch, the problem is that the meta now is high rof pulses which have to high of flinch, The flinch makes sense with hand cannons and scouts but for pulses and auto I think it's stupid, as well they need to have a range on the flinching like damage drop off flinching should be greater at closer ranges.

So far it seems like shotguns sidearms and fusions stay about the same or improve while they just drill snipers with nerfs. I think flinch was fine year 2 it moved your shot but didn't make it impossible to hit anything. It's hard to use when bungie keeps putting out shotgun maps and now shotgun game modes

They finally got something right!! The flinch is what it should be. Your using a sniper rifle. You get hit in the head your gonna loose aim. If you sit in the same spot trying to snipe it should increase. Snipers are finally in their right place. Shotguns are as well. Snipers just haven't adapts to the change.

Why you'd be trying to snipe in the middle of a gun fight is beyond me, this isn't Cod. It's not Impossible to still snipe either, I still do. The flinch is actually fair because if you can actually try fighting a sniper without instantly losing your head.

People are not sniping in this iron banner because its supremacy. You would have a hard time grabbing crests from a ways off in this game mode. Shotguns, fusions and sidearms will be a better choice for this irons banner. I still use my sniper for trials and any other game type and do pretty good.

Useless in a firefight? No crap. You're not supposed to be able to get repeatedly hit in the dome and accurately return fire. You get a chance a single shot kill, and if you get hit you move to a new spot like an other game ever made

32 RepliesNo. Snipers aren't supposed to be used like shotguns for the most part and their increase in flinch is better for the average player constantly being hard scoped in every match. They were too dominating before and now they're not, which is a good thing.

It wasnt added because of shotguns, it was added because almost every weapon could shoot a sniper, only for them to be sniped in the head no matter what.and snipers had a load of aim assist, it literally automatically scoped in on the head for you and followed it. (I sniped and shotgunned btw)
