The article says late monday morning. Now while I do hope that it releases at midnight, I'm pretty sure that "late" monday morning will be tomorrow close to noon and not tonight at midnight pacific standard time. Just a thought, definitely cant say this for certain. Just looking out for your avoiding precious sleep time. I honestly dont know if i wanna give up my sleep for something that I might not get at midnight

Why late mourning? I know this isn't a full game, but most game releases are at midnight.

Its a demo of the game that they have to prep for download by potentially hundreds of thousands of people the second it goes online. So they need to be as best prepared as possible to insure that the servers don't crash when the lines are suddenly flooded by everyone trying to download the demo at once. As to why specifically it wont be released at midnight, well, who knows. I'm sure that they want the demo to be ready as soon as possible so like the article says, once they are ready to flip the switch and send the Beta online they will. But I doubt that they will do so even one second before they are prepared.

wats goin on bungie its guna be the 4th of may in aus soon n im still not playin the beta i kno theres a time dif. i dont kno how much of a dif. but this is a joke set a time n stick to it its so frustrating n y not mention that aus will get it may 4th or sumfin odst came out world wide at the same time??? Come on guys just flip the switch please. There is a whole bunch mf my friends foaming at the mouth already. It is exactly 2:14 may 3rd mountain time here in the U.S. and we all really wanna play the reach beta. soo please help us out. [Edited on 05.03.2010 1:18 AM PDT]

umm.. when i go to my Halo 3 ODST menu and go to the bottom it says welcome to the beta preview... its this so called movie which is ''about'' the beta. but i can't play the beta itself. my gamertag is w4rk44 and i have a gold membership for Xbox Live and i can easily play multiplayer on Halo 3 but i cant enter the beta. please reply at my Email Madslneergaard@hotmail.com

9:40am on the 3rd here in VA and still no beta... Just checked their twitter, not releasing till late in the morning PDT that was posted half hour ago [Edited on 05.03.2010 6:53 AM PDT]

m8 its 3pm here in england so you have nothing to complain about we are 6-8 hrs ahead of you guys and i waited from 12am. if it goes up at say 10am PDT over here it will be 8pm GMT to me so you think you waited just add anotheR 8hrs to the time and thats how long ive waited (more or less). lol lol see you all on the beta lol lol

Everyone just relax, Bungie said they will be flipping the switch around late morning PDT. So a few more hours more than likely. They are not messing anything up, just making us wait a little bit longer is all, and yes it is not nice lol.
