Funny, when Bush was president, people and Kanye blasted him for shit.
Plus this is a salon link, so they are blaming Republicans somehow for it.
Edit: I volunteered to help with clean up back then. Was robbed at gun point while helping the people out.

Actually, what they were really blasting was the extreme delay of FEMA whose primary purpose is disaster relief. Wasn't it around a month before FEMA actually started bringing any form of help over?

Nice... when I went down with the ELCA the year I went we had escorts and we're only allowed to work in the cities with heavy police coverage... 4 years after the hurricane :D
