They should keep rng for a lot of it. But add more things like black spindle quest. You do a certain quest and you're guaranteed the item you're trying for. Not just exotics.

  • Yeah, maybe but if it said for the rewards "exotics" I'd be okay with that. Frankly it's way too easy to get what you want now.

  • What are you talking about. It takes some people 6 months to get 1 thing they want. The whole premise of rng is so you never get everything you want. You have to get the item you want, with the roll you want, and the stats you want. I waited 6 months for the alpha lupi. I've never had to play a game 6 months to get the thing I want. This game is the hardest game to get what you want. I still haven't gotten a lot of stuff I want and I've been playing almost a year.

  • Let's say I want Alpha Lupi. Three of Coins Let's say I want a god roll shotgun. Never ending battle quest gives God conspiracy theory. Let's say I want a New ship. Open crucible and vanguard packages. Let's say I want a new sparrow. Grind sterling treasure boxes. Let's say I want Black spindle. Wait for the mission and, get it done. Let's say I want a full set of raid gear for my hunter. Grind Kings Fall. Let's say I want to hit 335. Open packages and grind CoE on all characters and infuse or trials. Let's say I want an artifact. Go to Court of Oryx or gold tier from trials. Let's say I want Longbow. Grind the living hell out of crucible. You'll get it eventually. Let's say I want First Curse. Grind Gusmith. You see most of these could be done in 2 to three weeks, some even a couple of hours. If it took you six months to get Alpha Lupi you weren't doing something right or you weren't grinding enough.

  • That's my point. You say it's easy to do. In many cases, yes it's very easy to get. But, to your point you have to spend a lot, a lot of time to get things. You have to grind different parts of the game. And it's all luck based instead of skill based. As to my alpha lupi. I used 3oc for 6 months. I got the terrentilla chest 8 times. I got every other chest piece for the other classes, even though I only had a hunter. I unlocked every exotic in the blueprints except alpha lupi in those 6 months. I grinded. You can see on my hunter how much time I played in those 6 months. Because since I got the lupi I've only been using my titan really. I played as much as a normal person with school and a job should be. If not more. I've played many games in my life, and this game by far was the most tedious to unlock things I wanted and we're useful. Don't bring in ships and sparrows and shaders that have nothing to do with tactical advantages in battles. And I played gta 5. I got to level 250. I know what grinding is. But in gta I got to buy what I wanted. Nothing in this game is really hard. It's all time consuming.
