Destiny from xbox360 to xboxOne

Evening everyone, sorry if I put this in the wrong place I just don't know where else to ask. I have an xbox360 and have two guardians at level 40 and such and don't want to lose this progress. Considering the new DLC coming out, I want to be able to have my guardians as the level they are in this new 'adventure.' I can't seem to find any concrete way to transfer my data from the xbox360 to the xboxone. Can you help me? Another question along these lines is, I have a hard copy of Destiny for the xbox360. The taken king being a digital download. Would I have to buy ANOTHER digital copy of the game Destiny just so I can continue playing when I get the xbox one?? Or could I use my hard copy of the game on the xboxone? I saw a chart that listed the compatible xbox360 games and didn't see Destiny on the list....I could be wrong though! Please let me know if I am! What have any of you guys done? For those who played the game on the xbox360 and got a next gen system? Were you able to transfer it? Did you already have a digital copy of Destiny so it didn't matter whether you had a hard copy or not? Please let me know, sorry again if this is in the wrong forum or if the answer is 'obvious.' I just can't seem to find it....

  • To move your characters all you need to do is use the same account when you start playing on the XB-1. You will need a new copy of Destiny TTK (the base game and TTK) to continue playing on the XB-1 as Destiny is not part of the Backward Compatible program.
