Seems like latency m8, I pulled down my stream from yesterday, blammed a few folks in the face (by a few I mean like 12), and no hit registration until I was dead, then it only took half the shield. So I pulled up the ghost, bam green bars across the board, though one of them was continuously bouncing around like a pinball on crack. Rewatched the video, as it's possible I missed my mark, and on a couple it was arguably close, but on most they were dead headshots, which is sad because I love pvp. Now the feedback to this next statement is going to be atrocious, and it will come from people with absolutely no basis for their argument, and not even a tenth of the time I have spent in the crucibles, which is all streamed and downloaded, because they are blamming scrub buckets who like their Bungie-Aid. The current state of PVP, and Network latency being the top contributer to the problem, is straight assed up. You can argue that it's on the users end, but the video evidence does not lie, and my connection is clean like a babies bottom after a bath (even willing to provide you with the network diagnostics if you are adept at reading such documentation). The issue seems to be getting better, then it will go back to phase 1 again and be garbage. Though we cannot rule out the scrubby little kids who need to place a device or software on their network to gain the upper hand in pvp, causing others or themselves to lag, because they don't have enough skill to be viable in PvP. Although I cannot see how one would gain any satisfaction out of a victory achieved by shady tactics, as that would defeat the purpose of competing for me and I would find better things to do with my time. Right now I think that we are just going to have to deal with the issues by reporting the baddies and carrying on with our body dropping, because the truth is that the P2P infrastructure they have deployed for Destiny is simply not robust enough to hand the game, nor is it ideal for the way the game was designed. They will not invest in dedicated hardware at this stage of the games life cycle, mostly due to the ROI being null, and by the time it was stabilized it would be time for D2. We do a lot of griping about Bungie and their decisions, but we only see it from a gamers standpoint, they have to also view it from a financial standpoint, and they have a lot of hands in that cookie jar. I would like to think that they are aware of these issues, and are trying to implement a resolution that will at least stabilize the current environment so that we can enjoy this amazing game, but I could just be looking at my whiskey glass as half full. Good luck in your endeavors guardian, and I hope you don't have to experience anymore phantom bullets or latency issues, but we all know you will.
