Nirwen's Mercy

https://i.imgur.com/2TBgkpW.jpg Nirwen Hunter · Human · Male http://i.imgur.com/9IgNmRC.jpg Subclass: Nightstalker Weapon Specialty: Pulse Rifle, Sword Fireteam: Colovance, Deidris Age: Mid-twenties Pre-Resurrection Era: 5th/6th Century AD Excerpt
She looked at him, then, her eyes unreadable through the shadows of the helmet. He felt sadness creep over him, knowing that this could very well be the last he saw of her as an ally. She had told him once that the Eliksni were a proud and noble race. Their loss of their traveler and the Whirlwind that followed had destroyed all they held dear. Now the House of Blood Kell was reclaiming the weak Light of the traveler for the Fallen race, in an effort to restore them to what they once were. And in the process, the guardians who fought for the traveler and its Light, would no doubt succumb to the darkness. He could never ask her to choose between her own race or the guardians, so when he spoke, he removed his helmet so she could see he held no secrets. “Do what you think is best, Isildur, if this is the last time we fight together as friends it has been an honour to have known you. My bullets will never find you, but I cannot guarantee your safety.” She examined him for a moment, contemplating his words. She wore the cloak he had given her that bore the mark of the Iron Banner, or the Wolves as they were known as. She had played a huge part in their name, even though it was Deidris who officially gave them the title. She reached under her left arm, where it had been removed those months ago. “Nirwen is unlike other guardians.” She said, “Eliksni kill Guardian; Guardian kill Eliksni.” She, too, removed the Captain helmet, setting it down beside his.  “Archon Priest humiliate, removed arm, Eliksni race reduced to Fallen barbarics. Other Guardians would kill me, Nerwin showed mercy. Loyalty lies with merciful Guardian, not traitorous House Blood Kell.” She removed one of the feathers clipped into the strange spine-like hair on top of her head, and placed it into his hands. “Valkin will not be Kell of Kells. House Rain prophecy will one day be true, Valkin not foretold.” Together, they turned their attention to the traveler; or what was left of it. The Captain returned her helmet to her head and walked off, her cloak billowing. If she wasn't her friend he would find her a strange sight, a Fallen Captain wearing guardian crafted cloth over her wide shoulders. A little fluttering piece of fabric tied to one of the wires of the helmet. She walked through the Last City as though she owned it. He'd worried about bringing her here, maybe the others would've believe him when he said she was an ally; but she had shown them herself, her weapons sheathed and her posture relaxed. Others had called him merciful, we're they so far gone now that choosing not to take an innocent life was considered mercy?
Edit:
Part 1/9, excerpt is not a grimoire card but a segment from an entire piece of work that these characters are all in. Deidris is next, master thread will be created to keep an archive when Deidris is done. Thanks for taking a look!
Edit2: I sketched his face long before I started this, and forgot to add it. Here he is! Edit3: Wasn't satisfied with the weird aura background, as I'm not good at backgrounds I decided to edit this into it. It may not be the best but it's a lot better. Thanks for checking this out again Edit4: https://www.bungie.net/en/Community/Detail?itemId=206670627 He is on the creations page! :D Iron Wolves Master Thread EDIT #BUNGIEDAYCONTEST Go vote! :D
