There should be a item you get from completing Raids and strikes that is a Orb of Light that increases your light level on Armor, Wepons, Ghost, and Artifacts here is a idea of what you can obtain them through:
-TTK Raid
-Nightfall
-41 Strikes (Rarely)
-Crucible (Very Rare)
