Titans, I think I have a solution to the Shoulder Charge dilemma. Can I get your opinions? (Poll)

FIRST THINGS FIRST
I don't want to see you guys nerfed. However, with things the way they are now, the forum babies will begin to cry nerf on your Shoulder Charge which will restart the horrible domino effect that is, "Every class trying to nerf the other one".
My suggestion is a simple one. I don't want your perk nerfed but it's been abused lately. So I've been thinking of ways to balance it and finally hit me.
We don't need to nerf the target acquisition or the distance, we don't need a cool down timer, we don't need it to take up an energy charge, and we certainly don't need to stop 1hitKOing.
However, to stop another nerf war from happening would guys agree to putting a -1 Armor effect on Shoulder Charge?
It uses the same principal of the perk Blink, in that it has a -1 Recovery Stat attached to it.
This would stop Titans who are abusing it from just running around relying solely on SC, giving other Guardians a chance to stop them before they use it.
SC should be used I'm situations where you turn a corner and intercept a guardian who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It shouldn't be used as a discount pseudo shotgun. You shouldn't be running up to an enemy Guardian who is 100yrds. away, with the intent that you're going to shoulder charge them, rather than use the guns in your hand.
So I'll ask again, to prevent another nerf war and for the sake of balance would you be okay with having a -1 Armor Stat attached to shoulder charge?
P.s. I think we should discuss all balance issues like this from now on. Rather than demanding a nerf on a perk or class, let's ask that class to negotiate with us and offer a solution to what our problem is and work it out that way until agreeable terms are met.

Edit: A fellow Guardian named COOKIEMONSTER79 has also suggested a -1 to Agility rather than Armor and I think that his suggestion would work just as well if not better than mine.

It requires positional awareness and a wind up before you're able to use it, even then you're able to be killed during the animation and you're unable to kill the highest armour targets, leaving you open for a counter attack. If you're kill by shoulder charge, it's usually because you came around a corner at the wrong time, i think we should just leave it as is.

You used to be able to fusion them, or pull out a shotgun quick enough to counter. If you were running a sniper, you could switch to a shotgun before re-spawning without losing your ammo. Hell, your primary weapon was powerful enough, you could counter with a short burst/melee. Bungie has nerfed this game into the ground. First with weapons, then, when people were getting too many ability kills, our abilities. Nerfs beget more nerfs. This game needs to be restored back to vanilla or HoW crucible balancing. They can "balance" from there, as long as they take it in a different direction. Nerfing is not the answer.

8 RepliesBungie looks at pure numbers when they decide to nerf/buff a subclass. Striker Titans are not only one of the least used class but also have one of the lowest kd's of all nine subclasses. Titans do not need a nerf or change in any way and the only time they did was in the short era of the hammer bros. 2 RepliesI don't think Shoulder Charge needs to be nerfed. Juggernaut and Unstoppable are arguable more powerful, this would just leave it unused. I know it's only -1 armour, but people are saying -1 recovery is the nail in the coffin for Blink. Armour is more important than recovery.

1 ReplyShoulder charge is fine, people that get killed by deserve to die by it, hardscope snipers, people that rush with shotguns, unless unaware guardians, not to mention there are 2 kinds of shoulder charge boots and people get all butt hurt thinking sc is op before they stop to check that your wearing armor that actually enhances the perks!

Shoulder charge has been the exact same and should stay the exact same. High risk high reward strat. You just see more of them with more patches fixing other areas of the Titan. Shut the -blam!- up about a change in what's not broken.

2 RepliesShoulder charge is only good when playing 6v6 with a bunch of blueberry scrubs. In 3v3 it is basically useless. Aka if you have any skill it is easily avoidable.

It's just like trying to down any class running a long distance to try and shotgun you. Except I have to actually make contact with you. It's also the only normal ability in the game that makes you run at an enemy... Blink is not like shoulder charge. Trying to relate the two is bullshit. You can't give a Titan minus armor just for running. That'd be facking dumb. And actually unfair.

1 Replya minus one armor or anything would solve nothing to the nerf herders. Anything that kills them is OP and must be nerfed. Now we have video hounds on the site telling them all how to use it as basically a blink move as well so there really is no hope. It is just a matter of time.

I'm confused as to why anyone thinks the next thing would restart nerfs going around... Bladedancer was the beginning in 2.0, then sunbreaker in 2.1, sunsingers & stormcallers got tickled in 2.2, & in 2.3 sunsingers got hit, nighstalkers got hit, gunslingers got poked, & bladedancer got bent over the knee & rammed. It started with hunters & it's come back full circle. I've been saying the nerfs need to stop since 2.0 & here we are nearly a year later in the same situation.
