Which exotic sword is the best

2 RepliesMost people will say Raze Lighter But I prefer Dark Drinker. It's all preference, really. Raze lighter is better against a single target, dark Drinker is great for close combat dudes, and bolt caster gives you some range.

Im surprised that not more people run Bolt-Caster in crucible...its actually quite fun and can get quite the multikills if they bunch up like idiots...I personally love using it when I'm not using another exotic...really great postmortem kills as well xD

People say razelighter cause ya know it hits like a freight train in one rapid motion and reminds everyone of how powerful they used to be at every distance with gjallerhorn. But I genuinely think Bolt caster is the superior of the three because you can output the same damage(just slower and threw an area of effect) except you don't need to be in melee range you can be virtually any distance and the storms have a fair amount of tracking+ proximity trigger. Bolt-caster also serves as a regular sword for up close engagements( combine your storm with normal sword swings for quick dps similar to razelighters) even the legendary swords are powerful in pve. Bolt caster also is loads of fun in PvP. Toss storms at choke points or control zones and watch the salt flow. So yea in a nutshell: razelighter= fast high damage to single target up close Dark drinker = up close crowd control of the highest caliber. Bolt-caster= all of the above except at any distance, just mildly slower.

4 RepliesEdited by ChefBrye: 5/28/2016 1:43:31 AMIt comes down to what your using it for. PvE id say razelighter is #1. It can one shot most major(yellow bar) enemies. Dark drinker is good for aoeing mobs/players grouped up. Now for PvP id have to say hands down boltcaster. It's ranged attack can hit people very far away almost sniper range. The bolts(frisbees) it shoots also do an aoe whenever they stop, be it a wall or player. And those frisbees are capable of multikills. Honestly prefer it in crucible over rockets....un till the sweaties come out. Did I mention the frisbees have, albeit very slight , minimal tracking. Now it won't track anyone down like truth, but sometimes jumping up or falling down isn't enough to escape your "destructo disk".

2 RepliesGet them all and use the one that works the best for what you're doing. All work well but each one does a different task better than the others. I carry all three in my tactical wheelbarrow.
