Pezza hit the nail on the head. Doom 3 was repeditive. The only cool thing in multiplayer was the ability to turn the lights on and off on one of the maps.. In single player, after the first 10 levels the ability to be scared has worne off. "Oh, look. It's a dark corner. [i]What[i] could possibly be there? Oh. It's a demon. Gee. Wow." hell no, the gameplay is rediculously imbalanced. the AR has huge auto aim so you never miss a shot, the rocket launcher fired rapid fire (wtf) and when you kill someone in multiplayer the body doenst even fall over, it just dissolves. also there are limited startegic options, no vehicles, few maps and weapons and no variety. great campaign but no multi player value or story value. it is just scary, its more like a movie really. it is scripted situation one after the other. i still like it though.

as a game it is quite terible but at creating fear, it is great. that is the only reason i like it, the gameplay cannot hold a candle to halo 2 but it is the only game that has ever made me ph34r. the demons arent scary but the zombies are. damn quiet shuffling bastards. ps- the light only mechanic rocks.
