Are noobs a problem in Destiny group activities?

Noobs are a massive part of the destiny community. Of course, there are tons of sweaty, doritos eating, and mountain dew chugging tryhards, but with lfg and random matchmaking being a thing, everyone's bound to come across a destiny potato (noob). Although, they are well welcomed to such a loving and compassionate community, they are sometimes the root cause of a 10- hour raid session that ends at Totems. Maybe its just me, but the community or Bungie needs to resolve the issue of having clueless potatoes.

  • There are always gonna be noobs, if we dont talk about them. Then it wont be a problem

  • There should be a raid notice board in the tower where everyone can go to select the preferred raid group! Extra rewards like shaders or emblems or whatever can be earned for those willing to sherpa a group of noobs through a raid whilst those with more experience looking to speed run can hook up and get it done fast without having to worry/carry any weak links! -blam!-ing simple!

  • Problem with being bad isn't being bad, its being bad about being bad (are you following?). If you say, as we start the raid, "I don't know what to do, teach me" I'll gladly help you through and if you post on the forum "286 Light. first time" I'll still invite you. The problem is when people lie, and the rest of the group suffers for it, and the confrontation that ultimately follows. People know when someone isn't doing their job, or isn't quite aware of what's going on. The annoyance hits when the n00bs pretend that they know, or that Youtube is all you need and start getting pissy about it. That's when you get booted. Ultimately, people just need to be more mature and honest when they use the Internet. I was once a scared little Defender, doing VoG for his first time in HoW because he was too frightened to use the LFG, but the worst thing you can do in that moment is pretend you know more than you do.

      • I understand how my post might be a bit irrelevant to such a wonderful community, as I was a noob to raids as well. Instead of noobs, I should've posted something about the way Destiny has no way of making friends, therefore making those players who are lonely, noobs to group activities. I'm down to help new players and they are the ones that are keeping this game alive. Sry.
