Stop overlooking your PvE player base. All these weapon/ability changes are obviously not well received. Rethink your philosophy and actually listen to our Anecdotes! People are pissed, because they really like this game, and it doesn't seem to be going in the right direction. The hype is almost non-existent. I for one, enjoy this game and harbor no ill will towards PvP'ers. As they also have their reservations too.

  • You're right but, going by criticism I've read both here and on Reddit, they'll never do it. Whether it's by design, by laziness or by a reason to want to string out both PvP and PvE playmodes, they want to keep the experience as close to the same regardless of whether you're in the field or in the Crucible. But, and it's been said before, PvP and PvE are inherently different. They require different rules governing loadouts and power usage. A fencing, boxing or martial arts tournament has rules of engagement. But when you're on a mission and fighting for your life (or that of your city) those rules go out the window. So it is the same in a videogame, or should be. In a PvP match, you want an aspect of skill and tactics to be involved. You don't want it to be [i]"Person with dangerous gun and largest ammo pouches wins"[/i] every time. And you want to keep the time-to-kill average to a high enough rate so that matches are fun and you don't feel like you're always getting headshot before you've even noticed there was someone else in the room. PvE is different. yes, it's a pain in the hindquarters to code for but it's also a fact. You're a Guardian, out defending the last of your people. You go out into the field prepared. You want to bring out the big guns without the limiters attached and packing as much ammo (or at least the carrying space for as much as you can scavenge) as you possible can. And you want that time-to-kill average to be as low as possible, because when you're facing down a boss and trying to dodge swarms of grunts [i]you want every advantage you can get[/i] and really want to get that battle over ASAP. Arbitrary limits in "arena mode" make perfect sense. you're there for some semblance of a fair fight. But arbitrary limits in "story mode" make little sense at all. When I find that something isn't working as well as it could, and it feels like it's there for "gameplay balance reasons", I find myself starting to see the game design. It feels like i'm just in another match, even though I'm soloing a PvE mission it [i]feels[/i] like I'm running under the same rules as I would in a PvP match. And that's just wrong.

  • I don't understand their reasoning at all. They show us these misleading graphs and say "we gots to nerf its op AF". First off, the scale on their graphs is misleading. The graph only went up to like 20 percent, with Mida at top. Of course its going to look like a huge difference, even though the bottom lines that were all on top of each other were between 5-10%. So even though its only 10% more, it looks way worse than it does. If you scaled the graph to go all the way to 100%, Mida would look much closer to the other weapons and not as drastic as they made it. Second, did they ever consider the reason people are gravitating to Mida, TLW And DoP is because they nerfed everything else so bad, and those three are the only decent options left? 1KYS was used so much because it was the only high impact sniper? Gee, i bet 95% of shotguns were Party Crasher and CT-D. Want to nerf them some more too? Maybe people wouldn't use Mida so much if you didn't nerf Pulses, ARs and Handcannons, and then take 6 months to figure out you broke them. If they would just make different changes for PvE and PvP it would be so much better. I am fed up with guns being stripped of their awesome or powerful perks because some pusscake got killed in PvP. I'm sick of people saying PvP is what keeps this game alive. Get real. The game exists because 90% of the people who purchased it were expecting a legendary co-op PvE experience, and are playing some trials and IB while holding onto hope that Bungie will finally get their sh*t together. The guys mainly playing PvP have already or will eventually move onto the next PvP focused game as soon as it comes. Stop nerfing. Buff lesser guns to bring them inline with other good weapons. #Makedestinygreatagain

    • The PvP of this game is meant to have an op weapon (s) that you want to grind for to use. If borderlands had a PvP section it would be the exact same with the community complaining about an op weapon or hero's ability like phaselock. I just wish they would leave PvP behind for Destiny 2.

        Bungie just told us they won't do it. So knowing they will continue to nerf everything that is used too much. PvE is -blam!-ed so to me Bungie has failed to make a game that will actually work or worth the grind.

            • I've been saying this literally since the game launched. It's not going to happen. PvE had been thoroughly thrashed within a couple months of release. Come play The Division if you like this style of game but understand that Destiny is shit.

                  Our Guardian isnt the same in crucible since lvl advantages are disabled, except for ib and too of course. I dont know what he was talking about, but it doesnt make much sense imo. You Guys may want to think through your "philosophy" again?

                • What should happen is when you go into pvp there should be a weapons handler that you go see that has a catalog of weapons that will always have the same perks that way no one can say it's unfair. If you use a pulse for a match and you don't like it you can switch to a different gun for the next match. Then just leave Pve weapons alone
