We need a night map
Just imagine a completely dark night map where the only source of light is your ghost or lighting effects from weapons.
It would be light enough where you could make out map structures, but sniping would be difficult due to the extremely limited visibility.
Ideally the weapons that would shine (no pun intended) would be auto rifles, fusion rifles, shotguns, and sidearms.
Another idea is the map could start off fully lit but say over time the map gets progressively darker. Think a map taking place on the moon when there's a lunar eclipse so the map gets very dark.
Personally, I think a map like that would be awesome.

Thanks to Cryptonomicron for pointing this out, but night maps would also open up possibilities new sights for weapons.

As far as darkness levels, think beneath the cosmodrome where the three hive majors are.

Omolon scopes highlight your target so wouldn't that kinda defeat your purpose of making it a dark map?

Love the idea- but I think this would have to be a different playlist- or else some players would get really angry at getting the "dark map" over and over

1 ReplyA map set in the first part of the Crota raid would be fun, but only if you could turn your Ghost on and off. Also, this just occured too me, why the -blam!- don't they have night vision goggles? That would be more effective then a floating flashlight giving you away.

That's sounds really cool. If play it. The closest we have now is when banner fall turns dusk. But that's not even close to as cool as it would be to fight with ghost lights and grenades.

Really cool. This idea is awesome. Sadly I won't be around to see if it happens. But i'll gladly like to see some players on The Division. But i'll be back. Eventually... I feel like Destiny is going to become my pokemon. It'll be fun to eventually come back and catch some fallen with a vortex grenade.

That would be awesome. Having NV scopes would be a cool change. I wouldn't mind a map in something like the Abyss from Crota's End. Having lamps scattered around that give small damage buffs for a short time.

Lol like playing a trials weekend on the dark blade arena, but making it bigger obviously with some terrain, buildings etc? I like the idea buddy nice! I can only imagine everyone cranking their brightness up as I cranked it down for Burning Shrine lol.
