I'm looking for a solid auto rifle for PVP.

If we are talking Y1, then suros all the way. Monte Carlo is a great rifle in Y2. SO is suros but I give a slight edge to Monte Carlo.
-
Monte Carlo is just better. You can increase its impact. You can get more stability than Suros. It's just a better gun, even not accounting the melee refresh.

Doctrine Of Passing

SUROS w/spinning up can really melt people
-
Can't we have both?
-
I like the regime because of impact but it is horrible at long rang because the recoil sucks. Monte Carlo is a bit better for people who don't rush as much. It's really up to your fighting style and personal preference.
-
Rank up you gunsmith and pick up the Arminius D for next week's arms day. If it comes with the right perks you'll see. I had one but deleted it for marks buying legendary engrams. Big mistake.
-
Even though it has a lower stability i go monte over regime, for some reason i can keep it pointed it at heads better
-
Back before patch 1.1 I would've said the Regime hands down. But now, either are viable choices, though the melee perk on the Carlo gives it a edge. And don't use the Doctrine of Passing. It's honestly a garbage gun.
-
Suros is actually underrated. With spinning up its a monster
-
I saw a lot of people using Hard Light yesterday in IB, so you might want to consider that. I prefer the "Suros Ari-41" which has a 40 shot clip. Mine has Hammer Forged (for range and accuracy), Small Bore (for Range and Stability) and Outlaw for reload. It is low impact, but the it's easy to aim and control.
-
It depends. If you play a class that has a good melee ability (like NS) monte carlo is great. Personally, I like it better than the regime even without that perk. It just feels like it shoots right to me.

I've never seen Monte used in PvP. Im sure it does get used but I've never seen in. I have seen and used the Suros in the crucible. It's a good weapon. My recommendation would be to try out each one. Maybe fifteen matches each and see how each feels to you. Good luck.
-
I just don't use either right now although they're great
-
Doctrine :)
-
In reality the Suros needs a slight buff.
-
Necrochasm.

Looks like Monte Carlo is more popular.
