Well it would make it more like the anime and it would make some of the battles a lot more intense alongside ensuring that there would be no one who gets to a really high lvl before everyone else and then act as if they're King or something...

Well the only part of the anime that showed the game could induce pain was when it was set in alfheim but who knows how it could be done in the future...
