Is it me or is Valentines update a lot more shallow than expected? Where are you going with this?

You know, at this point they should just give up. Actually, Bungie already has. I'm making this point not just to rant, but to see something done (even though I know nothing's going to change), because in all honesty I miss destiny. I miss the Gjallarhorn and I miss a reason to love this game. I legitimately loved destiny, but at this point there is nothing else I can do. So here's my point: 5 months of drought in destiny for THIS?! Its kind of upsetting because I really had high expectations from the guys at Bungie for this event, and if I'm wrong at all then someone please correct me, but I cant take it any more. First of all, what is up with the giant update for a bunch of roses lying on the floor? Also, THERE'S NOTHING HERE. So far all I've seen is 2 Shaders, an emblem, horrible loot, and a ghost that has the same chances at dropping at 320 as getting struck by lightning twice in a desert. There is literally nothing in destiny. That just goes to show how little effort goes into destiny Now-a-days. Its really underwhelming. I was expecting some cool looking Valentines day guns, maybe a nice emote of hugging someone or something along those lines. Maybe some cool looking armor would've been nice, or EVENT EXCLUSIVE ITEMS THAT DON'T SUCK. Seriously. The candy boosts upgrade rate? 10/10. Best of all? You cant even use it outside of this week. You have no clue how much I would've loved something like the Jack-O-Lantern that you got from the Halloween event from 2 years ago. Even now, if I find some rare person wearing that hat, Its the best thing ever! Someone else was there! It is proof that you played during a rare event that lasted only a very short amount of time. It was awesome! And you know what we have now? Nothing. Nothing at all. Clearly you have the resources to add a few weapons or items to the game, instead of putting doubles in the weekly slot, and calling it an event. Look at Queen's wrath and the weapons and items you could get from that! It was amazing! And another thing. Shaxx's weekly bounties are nothing but the same bounties but with a different color palette. Nice. Its as if there was no effort at all. Its like Bungie is trying to push me away from destiny more than bring me in. I find this as a shame, because I've been with destiny for a while, and I've followed its development from the very beginning. I kind of grew a sense of pride with Destiny. Seeing its patches and fixes, Bungie really had something good going for it. Destiny was amazing. If anyone at Bungie is reading this, then please fix this broken game. Its a shame seeing this game go down the drain, after retaining so much pride in it. It really is. I used to come on the forums to read how people got their first Gjallarhorn, or read in the endless fight between which class was the best (Warlock). Now, I look on the forums and see the tales of people leaving, swearing at the people at Bungie, or complaining about the bugs this game has to offer. The community is ready for a change, Bungie. I remember how you used to pride yourself on listening to the community. I remember how many people complained about the Auto-Rifles being way to OP, and you know what you did? You shot it down. You fixed it (well tbh you broke it more but it was nice to see that you were trying). Its sad seeing the community turn on its own game, and even worse seeing you release those weekly updates completely avoiding the issue at hand. I'm saying all these things as a player who wants to see his favorite game come back, and be the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming on consoles that it once was. From: A concerned fan, Oscar.
