Community Pledge: Don't make Crimson Doubles a Toxic Sweat Festival
Hey everyone. Crimson Days is going to start next week but before then I want to make this pledge so that we can hopefully agree to make this event an enjoyable experience.
Crimson Doubles is Elimination.
Crimson Doubles is not Trials of Osiris.
I hope we can at least agree on this much. It's 2v2. No power advantages. Neat buff for the 2v1 encounter so that you may stand a chance. It's clearly designed to be a more casual friendly event and it should be as the point is people would be playing with friends they normally wouldn't play pvp with or significant others.
What will likely happen is that casual players will play a game, play against teams running trials builds with campy tactics and they'll get trounced a couple games and quit. I've seen it happen in regular pvp I've seen it happen in trials. I don't want to see it happen here.
So what is a Toxic Sweat Festival and what can I do to stop it?
1. I don't care if you run last word 1KYS Quillims's/Truth (but I swear there are other weapons in the game. There really are.) It's about how you play with it. Are you moving around the map or are you hiding in the back of spawn hard scoping the only entrance? Is your teammate also hardscoping the doorway so that you only have to get body shots?
2. Are you revive sniping/using fast rez on purpose for the over shield?
3. Are you being a dick on lfg and demanding your partner have a 1000 k/d while blindfolded?
These things are fine in trials. It's where you get hyper competitive. But from what I can gather this is supposed to be more casual than iron banner.
Keep it in trials. Don't make Crimson Doubles a Toxic Sweat Festival.

Nope... It's gonna happen. Teams will take turns letting one player die straight away so the other can 1v2 with the buffs from the broken heart.

I agree I just bought the blueprints for thorn, pocket infinity, necrocasm, vex and Galla horn. I'm just going to leisurely try to play With yr one weapons for fun.
