I have 4/10 solar thingys and im gunna rip my head off and eat it if I have to open anymore helium coils. The Solar Sword will be the only exotic sword I will get.....THIS IS NOT WORTH GRINDING FOR. JUST LET ME SHOOT STUFF
Remember Y1, nobody liked farming for materials......still goes the same thing for Y2. Ya think they would learn.

Edit: was Y1 player. Look at emblems. Didn't farm in Y1 for same reason it was boring imo. Make an exciting quest for the swords. I'm grateful that they are not RNG, but it's just not that interesting of a quest

Tbh I never found it to be that bad I would just throw on some music get myself a drink or go run some Vanilla routes. You are obviously new to MMO elements like this if your complaining about something so minor

Your task is not done .... the real shit comes with the Al'Hakul crap ... you get matched with people that do not need swords or need the others and they kill your knight right at the beginning ... then you run it again and again .... or people bail out and then it is waiting and again and again .... How hard is it to match the same sword people together ? -
I have a shottie that has enhanced radar after a kill. Pointed out chests and mats in places I had never bothered to look. Better than a ghost or sniper. You would be surprised where some chests are hiding on the Moon.

Let us turn in mats for rank up but not at watered down levels because it's "too hard" to farm so they sell them now. Finding materials on the planets was the easiest part of that quest, if you know how to farm, which you don't. The kills are what take the longest.

I grinded out all 3 swords in 1 day. Not really that bad for what you get out of it

Here's a tip: Use a ghost that tracks the material you need, but also equip a sniper. Scope in and look around, you should be able to see a lot more material nodes

Use ghost and a sniper rifle. Look down sight and all the material spawns in the area show up on your HUD. I didn't mind farming for mats. It was a change of pace. Got to just shoot the shit with other people in a relaxed environment. Felt like the loot cave......

You know I -blam!- the psions flayers jn 13 seconds just with a exotic sword on nf difficulty when my teammate was getting crazy about it you know what I did? I teabaged the sh!t out of those flayers and I killed them 15 times that's 4 nf's [spoiler]BREH! [/spoiler]

I enjoyed it. I could wipe out fallen bosses and complete other bounties as the week went on. I'd find 2-3 pieces a day. Never took more than 20 minutes per day. And I'm awaiting my 3rd and final sword.

yea, it took a little while, but it wasn't that hard. took me about an hour or so. just have a ghost shell that matches the material you need to collect.

You can glitch the Rocketyard area, may take a few attempts but Go to Rocketyard Assure you have a nice bit of spinmetal in that area Collect it all and go back to the loading area and turn back around. Those same spinmetal will be there. I had 7 spinmetal spawns over there, took me 10 minutes.

It's called persistance. It is what separates those who earn their weapons from those who don't. Earning an exotic should be difficult -and- taxing. Besides, they are the most powerful heavy weapon for PvE by a long shot. Small price to pay to have then.

I like it. Finally picked up the void legendary sword from Shaxx and I'm starting that part of the quest now. Look forward to it... Reminds me of Vanilla... The memories... The friends... The wasted hours running in circles... Tear...

Agree with this post. Did all my swords a long time ago but this part of the sword quest was/is the worst thing in the taken King expansion.

Collect them using the proper ghost as you are doing your bounties and gunsmith test weapons. -blam!- around on your sparrow and shoot shit in the head; you can make it fun if you want to. If you just ride around in circles looking for materials it is your own fault you will become bored.
