Gaming Commissions, i.e. gambling regulations

With the new trend emerging in video games of the purchase of RNG items (Defiance on last gen also has this) with real money, I'm starting to wonder what the various gaming commissions around the world think about this form of gambling and, additionally, that it's available to minors?

  • They never gave a shit about the gambling aspect of destiny, neither do they give a shit about making children addictive to gambling. Destiny has more mental blood and violence than any other game in the world's history. The fact that destiny has a teen rating in the U.S. where the legal age for alcohol and gambling is 21 is hilarious. Shows how schizophrenic/hypocrite these regulations are. Plus the rng is actually badly designed, because it fails to reward players who play destiny independently from their loot, but highly rewards players who just want to quickly loot and get done ASAP or who quickly quit playing as soon as they max lvl until next dlc, or not even. It's amazing how the rng promotes selfishness and hatred, when it should promote community gaming, helpers etc. Sad this game could be a social experiment other than a destructive one. And it's really weird that no one at Bungie or Activision has never thought of assessing it. I know for sure that as much as I loved this game, destiny's glory in my opinion is far gone. The game lost all its appeal. Even fewer weapons than at the times of the VOG dictate the PvE and PvP of this game. We came down to just farming farming farming and having to suffer, instead of having fun, doing some annoying and boring quests. Also spending 3hrs on destiny is very easy, just click x to launch destiny, then choose character, go to tower, take bounties, go to safe, take weapons and whatever, then go to orbit, then you're already at 15min. Go back to tower change character, another 15min. So just taking the 3 characters, going to tower... All this takes 1h30. Then you count the matchmaking for all you want to do. Eventually we play 1h for every 2 to 3hrs spent on the game. Lol
