Words from a Sunbreaker

Dear Bungie, Fellow Guardians Hear the words of a lone Sunbreaker. I come here because of that stupid mentality where people are saying only the same thing. One word in the mouth: NERF. "Nerf SB, nerf Last Words, nerf Stormcaller, Nerf MIDA, Nerf pulse rifle, nerf auto rifles." Thanks you all. You just destroyed a game with this word, and I don't speak for Sunbreakers brothers only. To kill a titan, now, IT'S EASY AS -blam!-. TO KILL A HUNTER OR A WARLOCK, NOT THE SAME. Every class has it's power, it's perks, every weapon have it's power and it's effects. Yes it has been like this. Now this game is not the same. D.E.A.D. Hope you'll consider this feedback. Guardians, Bungie, My respects.   • It was clearly op. Everyone knows how outrageously overpowered it was. Now? It's normal. But because everyone became accustomed to the staggering overpowering supers, they now feel underpowered. They're not.

    • I used it one game in mayhem clash and got 3-4 kills with it every time, but then I realized lightning grenades with armentarium was a much more OP strategy

      I've used sunbreaker since the recent patch and I did notice they aren't nearly as good as what they used to be. But have you ever seen the other side of things? Bladedancer is a pvp subclass main, it outright pretty much sucks in pve Same with gunslinger (without nighthawk) Also sunsinger and nova bomb The majn best supers in pve right now are Defender, Nightstalker, and sort of stormtrance To go back to the sunbrraker topic theyre still amazing, maybe people were used to the god tank with endless healing and hammers but this is what is now. Its fine in pve, good in pvp Fist is good in pvp Defender is good at both No more nerfs only buffs (weapons)

        Quit whinging.. Ffs. All classes get killed. I don't main a titan but I can get along with it just fine on ALL subclasses, so it's not op as a sunbreaker anymore, tough titty, it's still an effective super.

        Honestly, I just wanted the hammers to not have a rather large explosion radius AND slight tracking. Of course, there are times when I don't quite understand how someone missed when they should have killed me. That, I don't like. Why did Sunbreakers not get a Falcon Punch? Why did they get an impressive sounding punch with a boring animation? Why is Thunderstrike just a melee with extended range? Why couldn't it have had an effect instead? Sunbreakers do die in a similar fashion to Bladedancers now, super wise. I have noticed that.

      • Grenades and horseshoes perk on the hammer makes it terrible, as now direct hit won't even kill because it detonates outside of kill radius. glad they thought that one through...

            • It's not so much about the people saying "nerf, nerf, nerf". I'm a titan main (go check for yourself) myself and I want my super to be restored to it's former glory, but the reality is? Sniper headshots would not kill a titan. So they reduced the armor values and after that patch? Titans everywhere who ran sunbreaker notice there is a lot less armor then to be expected. The reality is? Destiny is built around players being given choices which is built into our class tree's. The biggest issue here is the sunbreaker class, unlike the defender and striker class, is max armor at 85 or 90% while the other two can be set at 99 or 100%. This would balance the issues at present only because that is what was impacted in the first place. I'm tired of seeing people saying Titan sunbreakers are normal titans just shinier. I know that, I see it, and I see why scorched earth or fleetfire has taken over most builds at the expense of armor. If it was up to me? Fleetfire would be replaced with fireshield in name only and increases or armor values and provide an additional layer of defense when a sunspot is present. It's a mobile class, but when standing still? It becomes a target for consideration by everyone else. Let the armor values shine at that moment and resume the match 5 seconds after it dissipates...

              • I do agree nerfs are garbage but you can't be that blind that a Titan should not be able to survive a golden gun then get all its health back immediately after or survive a sniper head shot. But I'm just sayin

                • Personally I thought when I bought this game it was gonna be this Titans- epic tanks that are VERY slow but are literally meat shields and absorb it all. They share the tanking to the other classes. Warlocks- magic and super cool RPG stuff and have a lot of regen abilities. Generally make sure that their team is always full health. Hunters- very agile and fast, everything about them is quick and can be either amazing loners or great team players.

                  • Yep, I still need to finish the sunbreaker quest and had a match where I hit a stormcaller with a hammer and he still had plenty of health. Before I could throw another hammer he one-shotted me with a lightning bolt from scout rifle range. This is a joke. By nerfing Sunbreakers so bad (a 3 second cooldown on cauterize? Really? 1.5 - 2 seconds would have been fine) it has just made the already OP supers (Golden Gun and Stormcaller) that much more OP.

                      • Seeing as litteraly the only thing the community asked for was a small health adjustment (and a possible change to cauterize) yea, they broke the super. Clipped both it's offensive and defensive capabilities down to nothing, seeing as I can now direct impact somebody with a hammer and have it do less than 1/4th of their health

                        • I literally only use sunbreaker to scare off the enemy team now , its my defensive class now , other that that i have no use for it, my melees dont even damage people, they just burn them now , and at most thats like 35 damage

                            the other stuff doesn't need a nerf I agree but Sunbreaker's HoS? That needed a nerf I mean come on it could survive a Golden Gun shot I mean are you serious?
